Beatrice More is no average third-grader. She is a list-making, hyperorganized perfectionist whose laid-back parents and messy little sister consistently frustrate her high standards. And when a new house, a new neighborhood and new friends are thrown into the mix, Beatrice sends the family into a comic tailspin, all in the name of -professionalism.- Despite her most feverish organizational efforts, Beatrice ultimately discovers that some of the best experiences are the ones you can't control.
This chapter book was fun to read about Beatrice and her family moving in. Beatrice has her way of doing things neatly while the family is more laid back and interesting in a different way. Good choice for girls in grades 2-4 to read and has 8 chapters and some illustrations to accompany the story. Not a lot of white space but illustrations pull the reader along. Beatrice is the chief organizer and in charge of getting things done in this family.
Beatrice is very particular about attaining a certain level of organization and controlled appearance. During a move to a new house, she rides her family members about unpacking immediately and putting things in their places, especially after she invites two new friends to visit. Will it be enough to impress them? Can Beatrice learn to loosen up?
