This book received no awards. Age appropriateness: pre-k - kindergarten This book is about a mouse named Max who decides to go to an art museum. After arriving at the museum, Max looks at many paintings on the walls. Finally, after looking at each painting, Max found the perfect painting for his home. I think that this book was decent. I didn't like that it didn't have an exciting plot or clear purpose until the end. But, I think that "Max, The Artlover" has a good theme of, "don't stop until you have found what you were looking for." One way that this book can be used in the classroom is by explaining the theme of "don't give up." Since Max did not give up on finding the perfect picture, no one should give up on anything either. Another way in which this book can be used in the classroom is by explaining to students that no one's opinion is wrong. This book can be good at explaining that because different people might interpret why Max set out to find a new painting.
