It's not often I find an artist of any kind whose work is so inscrutable yet powerful, and I can mostly count them on one hand: Andrei Tarkovsky, Pina Bausch, Andy the Doorbum, and...my wife's high school creative writing teacher?? She handed me this poetry book telling me it's her favorite, and every poem got me, right in the heart, stirring something in my soul the way those other names have in a way that feels intangible. It was such a beautiful thing to read.
