This is an oldie...written in the first person..narriative by Jewish clothesman about family instances. I read the entire book, not the condensed version.
Seidman and Son was enjoyable because it feels as if this Jewish tailor is talking to the reader as a friend. Northern Light was interesting due to the political workings of the press, but the end was tragic. Still, it made a good point. I was especially impressed by the author of Rough Road Home. Her use of the written word is that of an artist. She grabs the reader with her use of imagery and extraordinary wit. The most exciting read, in my opinion was Friend in Power. The reader is privileged to observe the process of a college selecting a new president, and the political effects of that decision. I did enjoy Sun in the Hunter's Eyes, although the finale was a bit slow. All in all, a nice experience.
