I don’t disagree with anything in this book and it is written in an intelligent, readable, and not patronising way. And yet I have finished it without feeling that I have learned anything.

It took a while to finish, though it is very slight, because I found that reading about anxiety when I was in a situation with any potential for my own anxiety would give me mild anxiety symptoms myself (eg while waiting for my car to be MOT-ed, the night before my vaccination, when tired etc). But that’s probably just me.

If you knew nothing about anxiety this might be very helpful. There are good website addresses etc. Dr Fitzpatrick’s advice is moderate and practical. It’s just that none of it was new to me.
