Order of the Black Sun #6

Die Schwarze Sonne Verschwörung (Orden der Schwarzen Sonne 6)

Rate this book

I love all the books in this series. Very unusual settings and crimes. I really enjoy the characters, it's great to keep reading this series, but start with #1 because you will not want to miss any

Sam, Nina, and Dave Perdue are all back together in book six. This time they have to commint a series of jobs to insure their "safety" from the Black Sun Order. But they also stubbled into a coup of the leader of the Black Sun Order also. Will they survive the adventure this time?

Another fast paced story

Wow, just when you thought you had things figured out. Great book, no chance of this story getting stale. Can't wait for number 7.

Amazing story continues....

As I keep reading books in this series, I get more and more pulled in the adventures or misadventures of Sam, Nina and the enigmatic Purdue.

Finally, a Look Behind the Black Sun Curtain...

Sixth in a series, this tale sees old friends/frenemies catch up with heroes Sam and Nina. They finally come face to face with the Order of the Black Sun, only to discover that it predates the Nazi movement, although Black Sun, like the Nazis, wants to take over the entire world...

Lots of action, much of it in a hidden war behind the scenes, as factions within Black Sun struggle for supremacy. It seems as if our intrepid heroes are constantly recovering from the last battle as they follow clues that lead them to the next battle...fighting evil, fighting different evil forces...

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ENJOYABLE READING...no heavy messages, just good adventure fiction.

The Black Sun

Book 6 starts off a little slow but quickly accelerates to match the pace of the previous volumes in the series. Sam and Nina are reunited with Purdue, the extremely rich and eccentric adventurer they had been employed by and with whom Nina had become intimately involved for a time. They are also reunited with several other old acquaintances and meet the head of the Order of the Black Sun, a particularly evil young woman who has a history with Purdue. Danger and intrigue prevail to the very last sentence.

Less action and more intrigue than past books, this one seems to be setting the stage for something to come. We learn about a schism within the Black Sun and that there is another group fighting them. We also learn that the Spear of Longinus might just be about to come back into play. I'm looking forward to seeing what Child does with that.

Much better than some previous works. I enjoyed to heightened intrigue with a good amount of action that is Mr. Childs mainstay. I would recommend this one to everyone that likes a fast-paced book.
