Discover a whole new world of dogs with this revolutionary , breed-specific guide. Learn about blood disorders, glaucoma, and other medical problems that are common in Bassets and how to prevent and treat these conditions.
We have a Basset Hound, his name is Copper and he's amazing...he's also obnoxious, has a great sense of humour, loves to play and is good friends with our Rabbit.
He's also a little headstrong and can be snarky but boy does he love us, and we love him to bits too. Reading this was a great chance to educate myself and my daughter about our dogs breed and the characteristics that he 'allows' us to live with every day.
Among other things (no laughing, please!) we learned that we definately have to have someone else do the anal swipe because as gutsy as we are, neither of us can bring ourselves to do that.
Love any animal book that includes loads of pictures :) This book even gave recipes and went over virtually every aspect of Basset Hounds . Excellent resource for any Basset Hound owner . I actually teared up when the author discussed the sensitive subject of euthanasia . I enjoyed all the smark alek comments about the willful stubborness of the Basset !
