Seriously, Wales is THIS boring? I mean, I want to read more about battles and kicking ass. This book makes Wales seem like a place full of cowards who are too scared to launch a full fledged rebellion against their English slave masters. Have you guys not learned anything? If you all unite you can become independent from the English. I mean it wasn't until like 1999 that you gained the power to govern yourselves? After so much hardship? Dude, Iranians who can be killed in a rebellion risk themselves for freedom, but the Welsh who would gain support from all over Europe in favor of their independence don't have the balls to stand up to England. Why aren't you guys your own country yet? This book tells you too little about what you want to know and too much about what you don't. Tons of pages for further reading on lame subjects. The author abuses parenthesis, seriously, stop it! Then all those, (2.5 percent in 2003) and stuff like that. Okay, quit it! too much useless information!!!!! Then it gives you a glossary of Welsh words each chapter. It would be nice if those words would have been incorporated in the actual chapter in Welsh but they aren't so you end up skipping it. I'm tired of bitchin' about this book so don't read this review.

I bought this hoping for a primer on Wales and Welsh culture, and wasn't disapppointed.
