It's not as though Faith and I have ever been big buddies. But just recently she's been getting worse, much worse. It's gone from annoying but manageable digs to full-on bitching in front of her mates. It's as if just looking at me annoys her somehow. It's getting so bad even school feels like sanctuary. What is her problem?

Ok, so this ‘T for Teens’ rated book most certainly doesn’t count as high literature, but it was good fun. It reminded me of a lot of the stuff I read when I was younger and how attractive social drama and school stories used to be to me. Oh, the joys.
I will say that as fun and reminiscent as this book was, it was of course simply written - not always a bad thing, especially considering the target audience - and it did have its, well, pRoBleMs. Marketed as ‘Sexy, funny, cool and sometimes controversial’, It’s easy to say that some of 2002’s controversy wouldn’t be appropriate for younger people to read about now. Although saying that, the teacher romance was surprisingly kept to a minimum in this book!
All in all, I felt the main character dealt with things in a relatively mature manner, so it’s not all bad, but maybe this book is better read as a nostalgic callback by someone who knows better rather than by a young teen who has a penchant for teacher romance.
Wow. I can’t believe I just wrote a whole review on a book titled My Sister, the Superbitch. What’s next?
