Mack, Amber and Stephanie flee across the oceans, seeking a place free of infected. With Mack's enhanced abilities, he is now better able to protect them. But will he be their savior, or their downfall?A fast-paced post-apocalyptic story of adventure and survival.
This was a pretty good ending to the trilogy. It still suffers from the writing issues of the first two, but is otherwise a great read, with the potential to be an excellent one with some tweaks to improve the clunky writing issues.
Editing. Come on. Can you not proofread or edit or something to make it better? Way too many mistakes. Way too many new characters and then they're just dropped, killed off with no real reasoning. Open ended to boot. Come on.
Having read the first two books of this series, I was excited to read the third. It continues off with Mack, Amber and Stephanie surviving through unsavoury obstacles in the hope of finding a safe haven from nano-infected meat puppets.
This post-apocalyptic science fiction novel is uniquely written and takes on new twists and scenery with the involvement of major sections of society exposed clearly throughout the read, differencing itself from the first two novels in this series. I highly enjoyed reading in expectation to see which infrastructure would if any make it to the end or whether the trio would survive another day especially my two favourite Mack and Amber. Unlike the last two novels, it provides the reader with a glimpse of other parts of the world outside of the main characters homeland and a new view of the genetically engineered that is sure to bring an unforgettable ride of excitement.
There is so much I can say about this book but it would absolutely spoilt it for the reader by doing so. I have to say though that if you’re a fan of the walking dead or the last of us your enjoy this series for sure.
