Based on the study of operations processes of four different organizations, this paper suggests minor changes in the Viable Systems Model (VSM) of Stafford Beer. The study briefly outlines the processes first explaining how managers of the organizations need to subordinate them to workers to bring changes. Workers mandated changes occur both for external and internal reasons, and these are of high strategic significance for the workers. The change in VSM does not discredit the model, but only suggests an interface between the level 5 of the meta- systems with the operating systems 1, so that workers’ mandated changes get real time mandate from the top management.
