Good mix of ride surfaces, lengths, and areas about town. I wish there were more rides without cars, but that is more San Francico's fault than the book.

Excellent suggestions of recreational bike routes in SF bay (centered on San Francisco). Most start points are at Caltrain/BART stations for those individuals who like to have fun on a bicycle and don't own a car.
