Now I will start but a clarification - the book was written on he completion of series 2 so the events in the following series (and some of them are pretty dramatic both in storyline and characters) are not referenced here - hence the lower review as I think they missed a trick but then again many series which finish before their time often do).

So the book takes a slightly different approach to others on this genre - in that you have several pages (often a double page some are more) on characters and places from the series. The text is a biography of the creative process along with any challenges or special requirements needed but the artwork is a mixture of set pictures, concept art and in some cases behind the scenes technical image on how something was achieved.

All in all a fascinating book which has different meanings depending on how deep or specific you read it.

Delving into the background of the show, this book deals mostly with design - makeup, artwork and the sets involved. Lots of excellent stills, including design drawings, and some quick but interesting interviews. A good look at the first two seasons, which were the best anyway.

I loved this book! But then again, I'm a huge fan of the show, so I think that's a given. The interviews were lovely (And we got to see the actors sense of humor (looking at you, Mison and Noble.)), the photos and drawings are absolutely lovely and I adored learning all these behind-the-scenes stuff. I had wanted this book for so long and finally but the bullet and I'm so glad I did. I would recommend it if you're a fan of the show. 5 out of 5 stars. Brilliant.

I found this to be a great book to read! I thoroughly enjoyed reading the interviews from the cast, the facts about the main characters, the demons, and the allies. The episode guide for both seasons was very helpful and I just started the second season a few weeks ago and after reading the episode guide for season two, I am very excited about some future episodes! Great background information on how the show came to be and what a great cast to bring this show to life! Great book.
