Final Balance

Rate this book
On the edge of existence, Dan Alexander awaits a frightening and uncertain future. What lies on the other side and what will it be like? This mind expanding story takes you on a supernatural journey through the Afterworld in a quest for truth and understanding about what resides in our own soul and in the souls of others. Even more importantly - What is our ultimate destiny?

While FINAL BALANCE can easily be read as a standalone work, it's actually follow-on from my first book, THE ZOO: An Allegorical Adventure. In the first book, a major metropolitan city was utterly destroyed and reduced to an uninhabited state of rubble, abandoned and desolate for all eternity. That book explored the behaviors seen by a society and its leadership and the extreme consequences of the actions the characters took. FINAL BALANCE goes well beyond the original work with an entirely different setting and experience for the reader. In the new book, Dan Alexander, the central character from THE ZOO, travels on a supernatural journey through the Afterworld exploring the ultimate consequences of his earthly existence. Both books, FINAL BALANCE and THE ZOO, go beyond conventional boundaries. In a fictional and entertaining way, they provide a social commentary that resonates with our times. At the core, both books aim to enlighten others about the personal and material consequences associated with the decisions taken by society and its leadership.

Receiving a signed paperback copy from the author.

I couldn't finish this book. I was confused in the beginning, but realized there must have been a book that proceeded it. However, I disliked the writing style and unfortunately couldn't get into the book.

This outstanding novel was so good I read it through from start to finish in two days. Not only was it thought provoking, but the ending was well worth the wait!

An atheist's wet dream of the afterlife, with some pretty decent story telling.

This book is different than any story I have ever read, I am so glad I read it. Ever wonder about the afterlife? This story never calls it heaven, Dan even asks if that’s where he is at and his answer is “ not exactly “. Do you ever totally not approve of someone’s actions and just think “Karma, I don’t know when it will happen I just know Karma will get you” ? Read this book, it’s imaginative and interesting. I had fun reading it.

Airplane Read

It was a decent airplane read/time-killer. An interesting and thought out concept of an afterlife. Ultimately, it was a bit bland and just not an interesting story. Read it for the idea, not for entertainment.
