I have received this book for free through Goodreads giveaway listed by Sara Daniel. It is a series of short stories with characters are somehow associated with each other through friendship or kinship. They also are connected by using this matchmaking/sex service called 1NightStand by a Madame that somehow matches these couples together who are aware or know each before this infamous one night stand.
The first two stories One Night with the Bride and One Night with the Bridesmaid were my least favorite. The men in each story where totally rude, mean and they treat each woman like shit on their 1NightStand. If they didn't like them before or had issues with them they should not have to do supposed assigned night. I didn't like the fact that each woman forgiven and forgotten how they were treated by the man they were with after they apologized or came back to them. Two things that I liked about either story was the fact that the mother of the bride was the one with gave each bride and bridesmaid the giftcard to this 1NightStand service a week before the wedding. I like the fact that the bride was honest to her lover about her engagment to someone else and then after they first kissed had called her fiance and called off the wedding.
My favorite of the short stories are One Night with the Groom and One Night with the Best Man. Both have characters that are scared from the past and makes these characters more complex and interesting. The Groom story is about a couple who loved each other as teenagers than broke up and haven't seen each other in over a decade. Then somehow meet each other unexpectedly and had to fight both past mistakes and passion for each other. The Best Man story is about two strangers who fight against their attraction for each other and have their own scared past to overcome. The last story in the series One Night with his Wife was also emotional and interesting. Even though the guy acted like a jerk, you understand his motives and he tries to do right by her for all the wrong reasons.
The other stories are okay but characters are not as compelling. You don't know who this Madame is and how is able to figure out that these characters are compatible and they happen to know each other before they have their one night stand.
I would recommend reading the last three stories in the book but they all describe graphic sex scenes and some dirty talking.
