Ordeal

A generation later, other Allied forces fought a jungle war in Vietnam. Ironically, it was against Communism,which won in the end. Poor Jim suffered through years of hardship and sometimes it was Communist Chinese that helped him, but always with a price. His return to that long war zone as described, brought a tug of my heart. The Japanese brutality was staggering. And life under Communism is stifling. The poor natives!
