Just in time for Valentine's Day come three romantic novellas in which ladies and gentlemen of the ton discover special moments of love. Featuring everything from childhood sweethearts to dearest friends to truest loves, this delightful treasury is the perfect valentine for Regency readers everywhere.
Donna Bell lives in Texas with her husband, three dogs, and a cat. She enjoys quilting and reading when not writing. She has been writing all her life and still has stories written when she was in second grade. She has also written under the name of Julia Parks.
Three regency stories about romance centered around Valentine's Day. None of them stand out. I would recommend this book for anyone looking for a light, easy read.
All fairly standard stuff, none of which made much of an impression.
If forced, I'd say "A Valentine Courtship" was my favourite, even though I thought Adam needed a good kicking for being so mean at the end, & especially for sharing Miranda's costume with anyone - mind you she shouldn't have told him the details, anyway. (Adam Hunter, Miranda Sinclair)
My least favourite is "Valentine Bride" where Margaret has received some very bad news indeed, but it's still hard to like her when she's so nasty to Austin - I can't believe it would be resolved in one day. (Margaret Fitzpatrick, Austin Bourke)
"The Ruby Heart": what a stupid tradition & I can't believe Lorissa would be silly enough to race no matter how little feminine guidance she'd had in her life. (Lorissa Mathis, Justin Andrews)
