Hazel
I never would've guessed my life would lead me where I am today, wedged between a stalker and a stranger in the midst of a drug war that I'm unsure of how I entered. One wants to hurt me, the other seems to want to heal me, but there's more that he's after and I don't know if I can give him what he seeks.

Cash
I was sent to find answers when no one else could find them. What I found was a woman in need and a psycho dealer working toward his own agenda. I wasn't to get involved, but her eyes call to me and I know they hold the information I seek.

Phil
She doesn't think I'm good enough for her. But I'll show her. Hazel belongs to me and has since that night that I claimed her. I'll get back into her good graces. I have to. She has something of mine and I'm not stopping until I have it all.

What a struggle this book was! I almost abandoned it a few times but was curious to see how it ended. The best part of this book was the prologue. It was so gripping that I had to keep reading to see what was going to happen.

"Pain is a strange thing. Some people know it well, others don't. Some can endure it, others can't. But there comes a point when the pain goes beyond insufferable; when it no longer hurts. You feel dead inside. Those silent prayers begging for it all to end are answered."

Unfortunately it falls flat after that. This book is about Hazel who meets and goes on few dates with a crazy stalker guy named Phil. For a stalker Phil is very annoying and does some fairly stupid things. He is involved is some amateur drug ring which makes no sense to me. They all act like a bunch of immature teenagers including Hazel herself.

Hazel has a friend named Cady who so irritating I don't know how Hazel put up with her. Hazel meets Cash who is investigating the said drug ring. Hazel and Cash are mutually attracted to each other but it takes them forever to get together.

I didn't find this book particularly suspenseful and wouldn't even describe it as a Psychological Thriller. It ends with a cliff-hanger that doesn't make me want to read book 2. I'm sure there are many who will enjoy it but it just didn't do anything for me!!!

This story is the biggest friggin surprise in all of creation! I had no clue this story would pack such a powerful punch!!

Hazel has a stalker. A certifiable nutcase named Phil. Their fourth date is a night neither will forget for very different reasons. After four unsuccessful dates, Hazel attempts to let Paul down gently but dude is cray cray and refuses to take no for an answer. Enters the mystery dude....Cash. Cash is a beauty and he has his eye on Hazel. In the beginning it was business but later it becomes more.

Phil. Cash. Hazel. Some crazy stuff happens and someone is about to get swept up in some serious stuff! Everyone underestimates ole Phil but he's about to show everyone it's his way or the highway.

Take-aways.....NEVER EVER judge a book by its cover. This is one of the best books I've read in a very long time. Total surprise! Never date someone out of pity....he or she may be a Phil....total psycho! Never open the door without confirming who is on the other side...especially if you're being stalked.

Five stars because this story is soooooooooo good! I can hardly wait for book two! I have a feeling Hazel is planning to serve up some ice cold revenge!

Oh my dayz I've just finished this awesome book and I'm speechless. I read half of this last night and all day today it was calling out to me until I was able to sit and finish it. Now I'm sitting here thinking I need to write a review before I jump into book two and I know my words are not gonna do this book justice.

Firstly why has it taken me so long to read this. I really feel my friends should have said 'hey you need to read Snap by Tara Dawn'.

Hazel is a strong determined and feisty female. She works hard and enjoys partying with her best friend Cady.

She agrees to go on a date with Phil but her guts is telling her to stay clear. Things get complicated when he starts stalker her. What is he really looking for??

Her knight in shining armour saves her in the nick of time in the form of Cash when Phil steps up his game.

This is a brilliant romantic psychological suspenseful read that had me gripped. I'm so looking forward to jumping into book two.
Highly recommend this read:)

Okay I need to...
WOW! What a read! What a ride! Tara Dawn is a new to me author, and she can write dark and fucked up with the best of them. The warning above... and on the blurb? Heed it. Because the book has it all. In spades.

Hazel is a single woman who works at Maggie's, a bar/restaurant establishment. She works hard and rarely has any time off. But, she loves her job, and wouldn't trade it for all the days off in the world.
She is looking for a relationship, or someone to just spend some time with, and she meets Phil, goes on a few dates and realizes that he's not for her. She tells her best friend, Cady, that she is going to break off the budding relationship and on the forth and, in her mind, final date, things go horribly wrong.
She is beaten and raped, and wakes up with the blood, bruises, and scars to prove it, but has barely a memory of it; just snippets of what happened, but she knows it was Phil.

When Phil shows up at her job, and again becomes abusive, in steps Cash, the handsome stranger that was in the bar earlier watching her. Cash is her (dark) Knight in a sexy body armor, and looks delicious.
Cash is there for a reason, but we don't really know *what* that reason is. But we know it's not something good. Or is it?

This man is sexy, and even though he isn't there for a relationship, he can't seem to stay away from this damsel in distress. There is an instant connection between them. Like 2 halves of a whole that have finally snapped together, and he feels the need to protect her.
Cash knows something has happened to Hazel. Something bad. Something painful. And for some reason, he wants to help heal that pain for her. He wants to replace the bad memories with good ones, even if it's only for one night.
But that darkness remains, Phil is watching and lurking around. Cash and her friends Cady and Erick, no matter how much they try to keep her safe, that darkness just leaches it's way into Hazel's life.
And then there's the ending. Major cliffhanger. I hate major cliffhangers. Majorly. Hate. Them.
But I won't have too long too wait, since TAINT comes out next month (March 2016).

DAAAAMN!
Hazel is a hardworking single woman that lives on her own. She's worked at the local diner/bar for several years and pretty much considers it her second home. She's reserved and can't find it in herself to be rude or nasty towards anybody. She's a sweetheart but a terrible housekeeper!
Cady is Hazel's bestie who is a red headed spitfire (total opposite of Hazel)! Chick is crazy as hell!
These two girls together are trip!
Phil.... He's an twisted asshole! Daddy's in politics so he has connections to keep his image clean & his record clear. He also can't stand to be told no because he's a little bitch that don't ever hear that word.
Cash.... *sigh*.... Cash is a drop dead gorgeous out of towner who happens to have the ability to make your panties wet with just a smirk. He has zero tolerance for bullshit and is quick to call Hazel out on it. He also hides a big ass secret!
DAMN!! We have to wait until March to find out what happens next! Shit just got really real!!

In Tara Dawn's SNAP we meet Hazel, Cash and Phil.

I'll first start with how incredibly unique this story line was. Tara made a twisted tale that involves three amazingly developed characters who are all linked in some way (you will never guess how until - BAM - it hits you right in the face).

I really liked Hazel. I felt that she was extremely relatable and how she dealt with the situation was realistic.

Cash, so help me God I want to bite that man. He was absolutely delicious. She drew him out perfectly and I loved his inner battle when it came to Hazel.

Now on to Phil.

Phil, Phil, Phil...

You know, I didn't like Phil at first (because he seemed like a bratty, preppy jerk - but he's the villain in this scenario, so Tara did right by drawing him out this way). However, when she turned it to his POV, I actually took a liking to him UNTIL he shocked me in the end. I should have seen it coming. You can't put much past Phil so it shouldn't have surprised me, but it did.

This was a wonderful book full of depravity, lust, and many twists and turns. The end left my mouth hanging open in shock. I immediately wanted more.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a depraved, wicked, delicious tale.

Snap (The Snap Trilogy)
Tara Dawn
3.5 stars

This book contains scenes of drug use, rape, and brutality. It is intended for readers over 18. Reader discretion is advised.
So this book has a lot going on in it. It wasn’t bad it was one of those books that was not for me. It wasn’t necessarily the characters but more so the setting and the age of the characters. Im not particularly fond of that age of drama and there is way too much going on here for me. This book is not for the faint of heart.

Our lead female Hazel is being stalked by a psychotic drug dealer. While trying to flee Phil and his wicked ways she meets Cash. The man is searching for something but Hazel has been through the ringer with Phil and she isn’t sure she can give Cash what he wants. He says he only wants to help her but she isn’t sure; he says he was sent to find answers that no one else could find. There seems to be more there. Is she being paranoid because of Phil or is there something more he wants from her. All Hazel knows is she is in the line of fire of a drug war that she fears she will lose her life before its over.

Phil knows that bitch Hazel doesn’t think he is worthy. He will have her again just as he did before. He claimed her and he will do whatever it takes to feel her on him again. She enjoyed it. She wanted it. Hazel also has something of his that he wants … or needs. He will dispose of Cash. He will do whatever it takes.

There is just too much running around in this story for me. It was difficult for me to follow. Its very dark and Phil is no nice guy. Hell he isn’t even a decent psycho. He’s off the charts. If this is your type of read then definitely click this up. For me it was too much all over the place and of course as you see it’s a series. The cliffhanger is a rough one as well but let me say again if you like this type of read you will be on the edge of your seat waiting for the next release.

I was provided an ARC for an honest review. Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.

Wow!

When I started this book I was sure how to feel about it. The story, the setting and the characters were far different from anything I'd ever read before. Add in the fact that this author was new to me and I didn't know if I could trust where she was taking me. The story is raw, the characters are stripped of artifice and the setting felt so real. Having grown up in a small town, it was easy for to relate. Still I felt unsettled but kept reading, albeit, with a bit of trepidation. Now this isn't necessarily a bad thing. I love when a book takes me on a new journey, challenges my thinking and forces me to consider a different point of view. It isn't always a comfortable place to be, though. About a third of the way in, I was completely hooked and furiously turning the pages. The plot became more intense and the characters began to take on a true depth. As I neared the end, I had to pick up my chin off the floor several times. And I must say, I have never been more grateful for the epilogue! Phew!

These are not cookie cutter characters that we have all seen over and over again. The heroine is a good girl that isn't all squeaky clean. She works in a bar, smokes, admits to recreational drug use, isn't virginal, is an absolute slob and isn't looking for someone to rescue her. Oh and she's not a size two with a perfect body either. There are drug dealers with a conscience and addicts with morals. I couldn't even try to predict what anyone would do next

I won't give away much but will say that the people and situations are not always what they first seem. Good, bad and evil all twist together to create an intense and very emotional read. There is nothing black and white within these pages except the print. I highly recommend this book but warn readers to get comfortable with grey.

Holy crap was this a great read. I couldn't wait to finish it to see what happens...now I can't wait to get my hands on the next book.
Hazel works her butt off at the bar and restaurant, Maggie's, and loves every minute of it. She is dating to try and find someone to enjoy her life with. Phil has taken her out a few times and there is nothing there. She tells her friend Cady that she is ending things with Phil on tonight's date. But when Phil starts to act odd, she doesn't know what to do. He takes her to a bar and gets her a drink, that she struggles to get down. She starts to feel odd, and tells him so, but he gets her another drink. After that point she only remembers bits and pieces of what happens. But what she realizes when she wakes up is that Phil has not only brutally raped her, but has left mark's all over her body. She calls out of work saying she is sick and puts off Cady's attempts to come over, hoping to heal before she is seen. She keeps her distance from Phil and tries to move forward with her life.
She meets Cash when he visits the bar she works in, and when he comes to her rescue when Phil attempts to attack her again. Cash keeps showing up for meals at the restaurant and just stares at her, until she finally agrees to go out with him. The two spend some time together and get to know each other. He asks her to tell him about what happened with Phil. He is still there helping her get through her feelings and the two have an amazing night together. But is it enough to heal her demons and his own? Will he be the one to save her and help her move forward in life? Or is he just a distraction? Will Phil get what he wants from her now or will Cash put an end to him?

This book is NOT for the faint hearted or for anyone under 18 years of age. This written work deals with drug use and rape so if these could be triggers for you i suggest you do not read this. ....That said .....

OMG!!! Tara Dawn has masterfully written a dark and suspenseful story that deals with sensitive issues of Drug use and rape that had me by the seat of my pants the whole way through!.
I don't want to give too much away so i will try and write this with the least amount of spoilers as i can.

SNAP is deep and dark and suspenseful and i loved it !. It is the first book of Tara Dawns I have read and i loved it. I t was almost impossible for me to put down. Hazel is the main character and I love how she and her best friend Cady have a strong relationship and have each others back. Snap revolves around around hazel and how one seemingly simple choice of a harmless date leads her down a path that could threaten the world she has built for herself and her life .... Phil and Cash the main males each with their own agenda and secrets and desires. If you can Handle the sensitive subjects in this book you will enjoy a deep complex world that will leave you hanging for the next book in the trilogy. I am looking forward to the rest of the set

Captivating and Deranged!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! The author, Tara Dawn tells the story in a manner that you are continuously learning more about the characters as the story goes on. This aids in the dynamics of the story and enables the reader to become immersed in the tale.

I don't wish to give away the whole story but there is a demented whacked out stalker, a heroine and a hero (who when you get to the depth of the story; may not be that pristine hero that is usually affiliated with that term). The story revolves around some real life issues and scenarios.

Tara does leave the book on a devastating cliff hangar, leaving the reader bereft, but she does give you a bit of a sneak peek into the next installment of this trilogy; which allows the reader some sense hope. I eagerly await to see where this author will take this gripping nightmarish tale!!!

There is a warning caption to this book as it has some graphic rape scenes, but if you are aware of how the real world works, and know that it's not all cupcakes and unicorns; then I would absolutely recommend this book!!

This book...I mean...WOW! I have so many feelings on this. You get pulled into the book from the very first line. I read this book in about 2 days. I could not put it down! I really like Hazel. She is strong and works hard, plus she keeps her apartment a mess and I can totally understand that. Who has time to clean these days. I bring this up because I feel like Tara did a great job making this story realistic. I grew up in a small town in the south and the description of this town reminded me so much of that town. So realistic. I can honestly say that I hated Phil from the beginning and I was so glad when she dumped him. I have so many mixed feelings on Cash. I want to totally love him but I have so many more questions.

Tara Dawn has left me sitting here going, WHAT THE HELL??!!??? I love a good cliffhanger and Tara Dawn delivered. I can't wait for the next book to come out. I am giving this book 4.8 stars out of 5. Go get it and get started. I promise you won't be disappointed. I literally had dreams about this book. So good!!!

Whaoooooooah pump the damn breaks! I went into this read with a pretty good idea that it’d be original and well crafted after having an eye out for this author for some time now. BUT, I didn’t expect to get so stinking attached to the characters, and invested in the plot that the ending made me cry and swear and throw a tantrum over what happens. That ending is insane and I instantly downloaded book 2!

Hazel, the main character, basically runs her place of employment and works herself ragged. It’s a bar and a diner in one, and she very rarely gets a break. Who can blame her for taking the rich kid from the other side of town up on his offer for a date. After a couple times out red flags are flying up left and right and Hazel knows that she’s gotta get out… but it’s too late. He’s obsessed, and dangerous, and he drugs her in order to beat and rape her very sevearly. Cady, Hazel’s best friend knows something is up despite Hazel’s reserve in spilling the beans.

Cady is fun and spunky, and completely loyal to Hazel. She’s met a guy as well, and even though he runs around with a rough crowd, he’s a fun guy who actually cares for her. Erik, Cady’s main squeeze, takes them to a party after an intense night out, where Hazel is quick to learn that Erik’s closest friends are drug dealers and that Phil is somewhat a ring leader. It’s terrifying, but she’s trying her best to live a normal life after the attack. Phil is a stocker, and evil of the worst sort.

Then there’s Cash. He’s shown up out of nowhere and the connection that he and Hazel share is phenomenal. I love Cash. Don’t get me wrong, he has some very serious issues of his own, but he’s such an amazing character. He’s linked in with the king pin, secretly sent to watch the town because this drug they’re pushing is clearly askew. Something is wrong with the supply and demand, so he’s come to investigate. He cozies in with Hazel to get close to the group, but the romance between the two is real, it’s steamy, its guaranteed to leave any reader hot and bothered… I mean WOWZA! The trouble is, he gets feelings and don’t know what to do with them. Can he save Hazel from Phil or are they all in over their head?

Seriously, you HAVE to read this book! This book isn’t for the faint of heart. Trigger warnings must be expressed… some parts of this book is very brutal and if you’ve experienced any type of domestic violence and/or sexual abuse then expect the trigger. 5 PLUS stars. I love the characters, the emotional attachment, and the storyline!

Wow 😲😵‍💫🤯

I was shaking in my boots to read this because I wasn't sure how dark the romance would go. Mannn and I'm glad i went on this ride. I'm not typically a fan of series or drug usage, but book 1 flew by. I read it in hours because i was engrossed. It is a dark romance trilogy that is dark. Book ropes and deets:

👆🏾there is legit somnophilia x drugging and rape. Hazel, our FMC has to recover from this and figure out the next steps.
👆🏾 It's title is the name of the dr♤g circulating. Snap is a catchy drug in title and watching the addictive decline of characters from page 1 to page page 300 was 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
👆🏾 the FMC is trapped with a pysch0 small town dr♤g king pen. He truly believes he is in love
👆🏾 NOT-MMC is obsessed with her and refuses to let her leave. He controls the town with his wealth and good family name. He supplies dr♤gs for the entire town and he's on the verge of creating a new product to get more people hooked (name of the novel)
👆🏾the REAL-MMC comes to town. He comes for revenge against the pysch0 kingpin. In the process he starts to care for the FMC but he's not exactly a white knight. He has some demons of his own and possible monkey on his back.
👆🏾He comes squad up with a Scooby-Doo g@ng willing to help take down the kingpin like he's a final boss fight
👆🏾it's a trilogy with action-packed scenes
👆🏾it's unique and very dark with a lot of triggers. This book had impact, secrets, sexual assault, on page drug use, addiction
👆🏾it's MF but obviously with a tapdance in the cheating trope even though the FMC is coerced and forced to be with the dr♤g kingpin.

Even though I ended up loving this read there were some thangs that caused a hold up. The pacing was a little jacked. The writing was good. The prologue was the best well written part. But so many story points felt rushed like it wasn't allowed to breathe. Even the romance between Hazel and Cash felt like it was on sped 100. The spiral of addictions also felt sped up and hurried. That pace kept me on edge with the suspense but hurt the overall narrative. All in all, I ate this one up. Its the type of dark romance I love and I will definitely drop it and recommend it, but whoosh, just know by the last page you will have the 😲😳 face

JESUS! What just happened?

This book... this book... it... I'm... I want to crawl into a hole and hide. Maybe throw up. Maybe both at the same time.

DISCLAIMER: this is not dark romance, folks. Not to my definition. This is straight up thriller. There are some sexy times so it could arguably be considered an erotic thriller, but the other parts are so horrific that it is hard to even remember the sexy times.

I think I need a shower. And a hug. And a drink.

My body is all tense. I am upset. I'm a bit nauseous. So, the author definitely made me feel. That says something.

I consider this a good book since I consider it a thriller. It is terrifying. It made me sick. It horrified me. If someone were to ask me if it were a good dark romance I would give an immediate and resounding NO.

There is not much development between Cash and Hazel, but I suppose given his intention not to stick around for too long that makes sense. The development that seems to have been given more attention is the psychosis that Phil is slipping into, aided by drugs. He is off his rocker. And completely terrifying. And I want a warm blanket. And my mom to hold me.

If you can tolerate graphic violence/dark material, and understand that this is more of a thriller, this could be your jam. It is a good thriller, even though overtly graphic.

TRIGGERS: extremely graphic violence, rape, drug use/dealing.

This book is an intense look at the world of street drugs. It looks at it from the perspective of the innocent girl caught up in it unknowingly, a guy she has dated a few times who is in the middle of it and her hero.

Hazel Watson, 29, works at Maggie Mae's Tavern almost every day. But she finally gives into Phil asking her for a few dates and everything goes horribly wrong. She is doing her best to avoid him after a terrible encounter but he won't stop leaving her alone. In comes Cash to save her.

Cash Miller appears to be Hazel's saviour but he has his own agenda. One that didn't include falling in love with Hazel. He is in town with his own secrets to keep and one that includes watching Phil and Phil's link to the street drug SNAP.

As the three lives become more and more intertwined Cash wants to protect Hazel but he can't be there all the time and will Phil get a chance to finish what he started?

This book is very intense and deals with a lot of unpleasant topics. It is definitely not for everyone but that being said it was a unique perspective to look at why SNAP was created.

The friendship between Hazel and her best friend Cadence "Cady" McDowell is endearing and strong how they have each other's backs. I'm really looking forward to seeing where the book goes.

I'm really looking forward to the next book and I'm super glad that the author gives you a sneak peek into the next book so you are not left with a complete cliff-hanger!

Soooo.... I am a run-on book reader. I typically go from one book directly into another, however, this amazing book sucked me in and made me see fury!!!! Fury I never felt before during a book reading. I'll talk a tiny about the cliffhanger because if you hate steep cliffhangers and cannot cope - don't read this book. By saying that.... i simply mean.. read the damn book. It's a risk you just have to take!
SNAP was my first Tara Dawn read and I absolutely fell in-read-love with her!! I was jealous of the story being in her mind and not mine! Which as I say that.... sounds silly because in the early part of the book I wanted to quit reading because I thought Hazel was a wimpy whiner.... worrying about cancelling a date with Phil, who is not worth a milisecond of worry! But once I got over my first 'wrong' impression of Hazel.... I. Could. Not. Stop. Reading!!
This story has the bff relationship we all need. A loser stalker love-to-hate him guy. The oh my goodness ahhhmazing God-i-wish-he-was-real guy, Cash. And lastly the main character that gains so much personal character directly from every one she has contact with.
This story has everything...Daily life.. rape..stalking..drugs..sex..romance..deception..lies..trust.. it's a word wound puzzle that is worth every second it takes to read!
And if all that wasn't enough.... I am a huge turn-off of poor punctuation or grammer. Happily this is free from flaws. That is unless I was too busy yelling at my kindle, cursing the bad guy, crying or sitting on the edge of a cliff! I'm a fan! Huge fan! Can't wait for more because I have recovered since the last word of the book and the teasers for Taint just send me crazyland!

This was a very dark and upsetting read, there is drugs, non consensual --- and disturbing graphic violence. If this bothers you, do not purchase this book as the Author has warned you and this reader has as well.

The Author did a fantastic job setting up the story, the main characters are likeable and human. Hazel is an independent woman working full time as a supervisor in a bar/restaurant. She and her BF Cady are working to pay their way and a lot of the story takes place in the bar they both end up working at. Our hero, Cash appears one day, and it takes most of the book to figure out what his story is. He protects Hazel at every turn, and yet he keeps who he really is as a mystery to her. Not going to spoil it here.....Phil is the Devil incarnate who has battered and broken our heroine Hazel.

"The woman is a tornado. I've never seen such destruction in my life. It's not dirty, really, but unorganized and cluttered as ----. Watching her is amusing as hell, though."

"And for damn sure didn't expect us to have chemistry that makes us want to rip each other's clothes off in public."

"He wants me, the lusty way he devours me with his eyes tells me that much. But he doesn't want to want me."

"The tip of his tongue sweeps over my lips begging for entrance and when \i open for him, he sneaks inside like a sinner seeking refuge in a church."

"This kiss... is a baptism. Accepting each other for who we are, two broken people who don't want to bring our shadows to light, and washing away the sins committed against us."

This book was gifted for an honest review.

#####5 What Did I Just Read Hashtags#####

OH. MY. WORD. I need a moment before I divulge into this incredible abyss of darkness created in Snap.

The world in which Snap exist, a new drug that is reeking havoc on Mississippi, is Hazel's hell, but she has no clue. Stuck between a vicious, disgusting, absoutely horrific stalker, and a handsome, dark and mysterious Stranger who has saved her several times, she is forced to suffer all because her stalker is psycho.

I wish I could put into the words the depravity of which Hazel is forced to suffer, but instead I implore you to buy this, put aside all adulting, and dive into this world. Tara Dawn has taken pen to paper and masterfully drawn a dark, depraved world in which once you jump in you will not leave until she leaves you HANGING, literally gasping for air as you surface. The mastery with which she paints the psychotic nature, so masterfully balanced with mystery and suspense, there is no way this is not one of the best dark reads I have ever read.

Tara Dawn, you my dear, have earned a fan and I will be desperate for the continuation of this series.

This was a great book, dark and suspenseful to the very end. I'm still wondering as it does end with a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to read the next book!

This is the story of Hazel, Cash and Phil. Hazel is a smart, strong, stand on her own feet kind of woman. She dates a guy named Phil who turns out to be crazy. Their 4th date is a disaster all around and when she avoids Phil after that point, he becomes even more obsessed with her. Enter Cash, a mysterious, sexy man who always seems to be in the right place at the right time to rescue Hazel from Phil's clutches.

I was curious to see where the relationship was going to go between Hazel and Cash, as he openly states he can't give her what she wants. But there is clearly a strong magnetism between them and they seem to create peace in each other.

I really liked how Tara Dawn unrolls these characters. As the book progresses, you continuously learn more and more about the characters that sheds light on the story. And the story is told between the three main characters POV, which I really liked.

I don't want to give too much away, but you will enjoy this if you like dark, unnerving and suspenseful stories.

I do something I've never let myself do before. I allow the quicksand to swallow me whole. I stay with her.

I received this copy in exchange for my honest review.

4.5 Stars!

I received an ARC of Snap written by Tara Dawn. Another new author to me and I am glad I received this ARC. I will say this book covers some issue that might cause some triggers for some. If drug use, sexual assault/stalking is something you can't handle then I would stay away from this book, but if those things don't bother you then I would highly recommend you getting this book.
Snap is the story of Hazel and what happens to her when she goes on a couple of dates with the wrong guy. I haven't read a book like this in a very long time and I couldn't stop reading once I started, I was a little disappointed that it ended with a cliffhanger so that's why I am only giving it a 4.5 since I can not ever give a 5 star to a book that ends with a cliffhanger, sorry Tara. Cady who is Hazel's best friend and Hazel should have listen to her a little more when it came to not dating the wrong guy. I love relationship they have and I love the connection Cash and Hazel have. So if you want a good book to read, go and get this one, but be prepared for the cliffhanger :( which I was not aware until I got to the end and I actually screamed at my kindle for Tara leaving me hanging...I hope I don't have to wait long to get the rest of Hazel's story and I hope the a**hole gets what's coming to him!!!! Enjoy and Happy Reading!!!

Honestly I don't know where to start with this review. It is a page turner right from page one until the end...even when you get to the end you keep trying to turn the page to find out more! Snap is FULL of suspense and surprises. It is told in 3 different POVs so you get inside three different heads. Hazel is hardworking and loves her friends. Cash, I'm not to sure about yet, I want to say he is the hero in this series but I'm not sure. And Phil is crazy like hide in your closet and watch you sleep crazy. The storyline has a Breaking Bad feel to it kind of but more drama and twists. It is defiantly a new type of read for me. And the story flowed perfectly together.

I really enjoyed this book, it had me guessing from the start and wanting to scream at the end. However, I'm not much for all the drinking and partying, I wasn't sure what day they did all that and how they functioned the next day. Of course maybe my timeline is messed up and I got confused, I don't know. That was the only problem, overall I would recommend this book to my friends and can't wait for book 2.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

I love dark romances. The gritty, hard and near impossible situations that most can't handle but leaves you with strong characters in the end have m begging for more. Snap was a slow start. The build up to the biggest event seemed to take forever. I wanted it to move faster but I believe the author wanted you to connect with the characters and get a better idea of who they were. There were situations that irritated me, things that were done that had me thinking wtf. Or wondering why they weren't dealing with the problem. The end of Snap really had me feeling.
I did live Hazels strength and determination to just push through the pain and heartache of her experiences. I loved her friend and how she knew just what to do for Hazel. I didn't really like Cash and honestly thing he could have been a better non boyfriend but that's just my opinion.
I didn't love the story but it was good and plays pretty well with what could happen in life in general. Making it relatable in some aspects was what drew me in most.

I was given this book as a ARC in return for my honest opinion.

If you can handle reading dark reads that involve drug use and rape you will enjoy this book. This book takes u non a roller coaster of emotions and keep you in suspense as to what is going to happen next.

We meet Hazel Thompson who us a simple girl who works for Maggies May Tavern. It's here sge meets Phil but Phil has a obsession with Hazel and constantly asks her out on a date till she agrees. She eventually agrees but this one simple date will change Hazel's life and lifestyle. What Hazel hasn't realised is that Phil may seem harmless but he's a psycho and drug user.

Hazel is soon caught up in the middle of a drugs war between Phil and a stranger. Both Phil and the stranger have their own agendas. Hazel also has something that Phil wants back...

Cash Miller. Hazel meets Cash after fleeing from Phil . Cash soon realises the very information he needs but Hazel has no idea what he's talking about.

This book will not only keep you on the edge of your seat but will take you on a emotional roller coaster.

MUST READ!! Holy freakin 5 stars!! I did not see this coming! Im gonna stick to basics and leave the spoilers out cause they wouldnt do this any justice.
Each chapter brings you somewhere else and youre never quite sure whats coming next. I was anticpating certain things that didnt happen, i found myself analyzing every chapter trying to figure out where it would end up and i still wasnt right lol. I loves the shocks and surprises it threw at me!
Now lets talk characters...theyre all very well developed. Im a fan of descriptive writing and getting connected to the characters and Tara Dawn did not disappoint! I felt like i knew them all, i was completely wrapped up in their experiences and their relationships.
The writing flowed beautifully, the characters were incredibly developed and she accomplished the most important task of all...she hooked me and has me counting down til book 2!
