This was one of the childhood story books that stuck with me growing up, but I could never remember the name or author/illustrator of it. We used to take this book out of the library regularly, and recently I was reunited with a well preserved copy of the book. The artwork had always been the clearest memory, and it is still captivating so many years later. I plan to share with book with my future kids as well as my younger students. The fable is short and well suited to younger children who may not be able to focus during longer stories.
