Love is different for every person, and its sincerity isn’t always apparent to those who are looking from the outside in. In this story, that fact is made a little bit more of a challenge because of whom (or what) a girl’s heart falls in love with.
Ritz is an intelligent, reliable high school student. She’s the apple of her father’s eye and the best friend to the hyperactive Tinsley. On Ritz’s seventeenth birthday, her father gives her a beautifully restored Mustang.

The two girls attend a party where Ritz gets drunk for the first time in her life. She has no idea how dangerous her situation is until the boy she’s been dancing with assaults her in her own car. Thankfully there’s someone to rescue her—her birthday present comes alive just in the nick of time.
From then on, it’s a strange relationship that’s built on an even more complicated beginning. Is it indeed possible to become friends with a car? Much less fall in love with one? Can a relationship like that stand the test of time, life, and human desire?

This story is not about the typical drama that comes with relationships. It’s about a beginning, a journey, and an examination of possibilities.

novel contains mature themes and language. Intended for 18+ readers only.
