Parallel Threads: Stories of Here & Elsewhere

by Claudiu Cornea

In Parallel Stories of Here & Elsewhere , author Claudiu Cornea expands on the character-driven charm of his debut memoir, The Rooster's Glare & Other Escapades . Blending speculative science fiction with razor-sharp satire, this companion collection takes readers on a journey across distant galaxies, surreal council halls, and bureaucratic alien worlds—while opening with a wildly varied selection of comical, unpredictable tales closer to home.

Part quirky comedy, part speculative science fiction, these imaginative stories explore how a quiet evening of reading can inadvertently push an interplanetary assembly to the brink of war, or what kind of divine afterlife might await a chaotic village flock. It is a universe where cosmic diplomacy meets everyday absurdity, proving that no matter how advanced or ordinary civilization becomes, humanity is always driven by the exact same eccentricities.
