I was impressed by this debut issue of this new series. By what I've read in the first issue, it has a great story by James Robinson and beautiful art by Steve Pugh.
The main draw here would be Robinson and his unabashed love for Golden Age characters. We get that here, the main cast were introduced early on in Marvel's publication history and he is slowly introducing a few, starting with Major Liberty, although it was only in a flashback memory scene.
This is a book that could finally make the original Human Torch a major character, as the narrative is mostly about him. Robinson withheld Captain America and the Winter Soldier until the second to the last page for maximum effect.
I am impressed enough that I'll be probably be hanging on until the end of the first arc at least.
