I really enjoyed the first book, Prodigal Journey. I got so wrapped up in it, I was upset at the ending! The sequel, Refining Fire was also very enjoyable. I would read a 3rd book if there was one.

I loved this book just as much as the first! I don't want to say too much if you haven't read the first one. I think it would be hard to live in this world Linda has created. Come to think of it, I'm not sure she is too far off. Like the first I couldn't put this one down. I needed to know what happened to all the characters. I am eagerly awaiting the third book: Zion Rising.

This sequel beats the original hands down. Where Prodigal Journey dwelled on ick to the point of dourness, the sequel is uplifting and enjoyable. Her post-apocalyptic vision of the U.S. is intriguing and original. There are some unintentionally silly moments, but overall the writing is good.

This is the sequel to Prodigal Journey and is entertaining and an interesting perspective. Some of it is pretty farfetched...but again, entertaining.

This is the sequel to Prodigal Journey. It felt like the author rushed to tie up loose ends in this one and it was also kind of cheesy.
