Brendan stood, rooted in place, mesmerized by the crystal ball. It stopped for a brief second, showing him a picture of his family, together and whole again. They were smiling, happy and hugging each other. He had a sudden irresistible urge to have it. He knew if he could just touch it, hold it, possess it, everything would suddenly be right in his life. His hand began to reach for the ball.
The old woman cackled, and said, “Yes, you must have it. It’s the only way to bring your family back together again.” She paused before asking, “Do you want it?”
He nodded, never taking his eyes from the ball. Slowly, he reached out further to take the ball from the old woman. As soon as he held it in his hand, the crystal center began to swirl black…

Born in California. Proud daughter of a Marine, and spouse of an Air Force Veteran. Susan enjoys living in Southern California with her husband and youngest son.
Bravo! She did it again! This second novel in a series did not disappoint! I love stories that keep me turning pages. Susan's descriptive style of writing puts the reader right into the scenes. The characters are real and believable. I could not wait to read what happened next.
I appreciated the practical tools and suggestions throughout the narrative on protection and connection to the angels and guides. All angels, guides and others are available to all of us who aspire to work in the light.
May God Bless!
I must admit that I have reread both of Susan's novels, they read and flow like a good movie. I know that there is another novel on the way. I looked forward to the next adventures with Faith and her grandson Brendan on their lightworker's quest fighting the forces of evil.
I enjoyed this book very much. I love the metaphysical insights of this compelling story. I became attached the characters and their struggles. It all felt so real to me that I kept wanting to know the rest of their stories. While this is #2 it easily stands on its own and I will look up the first in the series. A good read

This book was just as good, if not better, than the first. This author has a great, easy going style that keeps one's attention and following the story lines isn't difficult. I'm anxiously awaiting the next book to see what happens to the characters (no spoiler alert here -- read the book). Perfect reading for a weekend getaway.
I won this book on Goodreads. It is a spiritual book with guardian angels, evil beings and humans moving between the realms of spirit and earth. It is also the story of a marriage and a young boy learning who he is meant to be. It was fairly well written but some of the events were handled rather awkwardly. I guess the story content wasn't what I expected either or I might have liked it better.
