These are fun and interesting books that look at science outside of earth. Not the most amazing prose but that wasn't the point of reading it. Continuity of story and my kids learned something (and couldn't wait for the next chapter)!

This one was just as good as the first, about which I wrote . . . "I could not get my kid interested in biology. I had to force him to do it, even though he loves physics and chemistry. Then he found this book, and Zoology by the same author, on the coffee table. He said he read it because it wasn't stupid, partook of none of the bad sci-fi cliches. My skeptical, snarky tween could find nothing wrong to make fun of in it. He enjoyed the story. And now he can talk about biological sciences in an informed way. Quark Chronicles is to science what Life of Fred is to math. Homeschoolers who strew, you need these."
