The small part that is written is in French, so I didn't 'read' it, but I loved the photographs included. It's more commercial portraiture in Africa (like Sidibe and Keita), but the featured photographers were located in Senegal. I liked Casset's portraits best, which were predominantly female. Just the hairstyles alone are worth checking out, but composition and the expressive poses make this a gem of a book.
