“According to the legend, Kuchisake-onna is a beautiful woman who roams the streets of Japan with a surgical face mask, a habit that is not uncommon in the said country. However, under her mask, she is hiding a severe slit across her mouth which is open from ear to ear. She is said to be a vengeful spirit who takes out her anger on children, aged 5-18, and travelers, when they are alone.

If ever one actually meets Kuchisake-onna, she would ask a series of questions, and if the person says the wrong answers, death is imminent.”

The world of the departed has always been an interesting topic to the living. Ghosts, demons, spirits, and other paranormal phenomena sure have happened, and a lot of them have been proved to be genuine, no matter how many scientific people debunk them.

This book will feed all your curious desires of paranormal stories, hauntings and unexplained phenomena: from haunted houses and asylums, urban legends which seemed to be true, to true ghost hauntings that have been documented and investigated.

Each story is full of mystery and fright; a must-have if you are interested in true stories of the paranormal.

Copied from other books - basically copied and pasted from other books.

out for a quick buck.

This writer is also the same person as -

Jason Keeler, Seth Balfour, Ryan Gillmore, Lorrence Williams and evern Britney Clark, and Max Mason Hunter, and Travis S. Kennedy

- it's all the same person 'writing' short books copied from other books on amazon

- really bad.

Just looking for a quick read while I decided what to start next. This fit the bill. Again I like these books from this publisher and the authors, who includes Max Mason Hunter and Roger P. Mills. Not only are they quick little vignettes about true haunted places but they give you a lot of history related to each location and event. This one included the Myrtles Plantation, The Enfield Haunting and others. Not only does the information give you plenty about each event but also tells you how the legends came about. Picqued my interest in the Danvers State Hospital, since I don't recall having heard anything about this before. Have a half hour while waiting for the bus or a doctor's office, and don't want anything to heavy to get into, These books are great.

Spooky Reading

Unusual in its format, and right to the point. Many details that others have neglected in similar accounts. A must-read for all paranormal enthusiasts.

I liked some of the stories, but this book did not compare with others on the subject. It was lacking in story telling and there were problems with the spacing throughout most of the chapters. Could have been better.
