Tori awakens to find herself alone in her town. Then the evil ones start following her.
Running from those who would murder her, she flees with a strange boy who seems to know her.
Now a dark secret awakens inside Tori, and she is in a race against time to save what little remains of humankind.
Follow Tori through a horrifying post-apocalyptic world in a story readers describe as "addictive."
Haunted by childhood demons, Evan returns to Storberry to find darkness threatens the town.
When a strange storm cripples the town's communication systems, a hideous monster begins stalking the night. Two teenagers align with Evan and a tiny group of survivors, but not everyone is who they seem.
Can they overcome personal tragedy and survive until sunrise?
The Island For the first time ever, get all of horror author Dan Padavona's fiendish tales in one collection. From serial killers and vampires to deadly spiders on a deserted island, this terrifying collection will leave you afraid of the dark!
Hurrying to get home before dark, Rachel and Charlie take a shortcut through the dangerous section of Treman Mills, a town where five brutal, unsolved murders have occurred in the last year. When the Black Thorns gang catches them on the wrong side of town, Rachel and Charlie flee into an abandoned building. But they are not alone in the darkness.
One Autumn in Kane Grove
Someone is stalking the dark passages of Kane Grove University and murdering its women. When the murdered disappear from their graves, some of the students whisper the word, “vampire”. Is something supernatural responsible for the grisly killings? Short and sweet, this foreboding tale has a chilling ending. Read it with the lights low.
Felt like 2 novellas and two shorts. A talented writer who can convincingly portray tension and fear. I liked that the pacing is fast and full of action. There were several eye-roll moments and a couple of times I actually said 'Oh, come on!' These issues are annoying but didn't ruin the entertainment value for me.
I received advanced copies of each gem in here for honest reviewing purposes. For a mere 5 bones (the cost of that overpriced coffee you're still hepped up on from this morning) you get two books and a collection of two shorts. You can't go wrong here.
Storberry: Padavona's homage to Salem's Lot. There's nothing romantic about these blood suckers; just death and destruction. The only thing that sparkles in this vampire read is the path of congealing blood left behind.
The Island: Two lengthy short stories. A warning to the arachnophobics: Don't read this.
Dark Vanishings: Book 1: The first in a series of a post-apocalyptic adventure that gets better with each book. For fans of King's The Stand.
