Book 7 starts where 6 leaves off. Ryan and Vanessa had a love that he has been waiting on. When she finally returns, she has his son. Even though his life has somewhat gone on, he is willing to give up everything to fight for the love he knows he is meant to have forever. Will he be able to get her to realize that what they have is worth fighting for? Will they be able to rekindle the love, or will the time apart and emotions involved be too much?
Vanessa is engaged to another man. A man that she only said yes to because she doesn't want to interrupt Ryan's life anymore than she has already. Even though she loves him with everything in her, she knows that there are other things she has held from not only from him, but also her family. She just doesn't know if she is strong enough to reveal them now.
As she tries to figure out if she and Ryan can get back to the love they both feel, life interferes. Will she give up the new man in her life for the love of her lifetime? Will he understand the things she's done and forgive her? Once separated for as long as they have been, can you really recapture the love?
Find out if Ryan and Vanessa truly can continue... Loving You For Life.
This installment of the Hudson Series is all that I expected and more I have never enjoyed any series more than this series. The author writing and story telling is exciting and emotionally draining in a good way. Her characters are well developed. Ryan and Vanessa is put through so much that I was I crying like these characters are real, that how good the author is in pulling you into her story. I am surprised that author Colby Taylor Hudson Series is not on the New York Times Bestseller List because it is a outstanding series. I hope this is not the end of the Hudson Series because I would like to see how Ryan, Vanessa, RJ and Camille lives turn out and also would like to see if Marcus and Courtney work out their problems and see what is happening with the other characters on other side of the Hudson family. I really love this series and will be reading it again and again. I already have read this entire series 6 times because every time a new installment comes out I start reading from the first book through too the last book in the series except for this installment I couldn't wait and I was not disappoint. The author says she is branching out and will be trying her hand at writing Urban story under her alter ego name "Just Nina" I can't wait to read her Urban book "Fit For A King" which suppose to come out next week I know I will not be disappointed. I recommend anything that this author writes you can't go wrong.
I know everything is not a happy endings or beginning, but I think this novel 7 did not give me a ending to many couples hanging on a cliff with no closure. Vanessa and Ryan story left me sad , Marcus and Courtney ,Isaiah and Farrah so many questions need to be answer. There must be another novel coming soon about the fantastic Hudson and Inlaws.
Vanessa and Ryan's story was just okay, too much back and forth on whether or not they were going to be together, maybe a little something missing for me. I wasn't thrilled about the triangle created in this storyline. I think I understand where the author was trying to go with this, maybe nit. I think storyline might have tried to show there is still love after tragedy. Like Vanessa trying to cement a path for Ryan and Camille to end up together after she dies. Showing she loves him enough that she wants him to be happy and find love again with Camille after she dies. But she has to have her time with him first. She sees how Ryan truly loves Camille as he looks at Camille in the same way he looks at her.
Unfortunate, for me, the author went this route as I was routing for Vanessa and Ryan and little RJ to become a happy family in the end. I mean seriously Camille could have her love interest in another Hudson book as the Hudson already claim her as an honorary Hudson. Why hook her up with Ryan?
As for the supporting characters/couples I was more interested in what will happen between Marcus and Courtney and Isaiah and Farrah as I was so over Ryan and Vanessa with the direction their storyline took.
I've waited for Ryan and Vanessa' s story, since the second book. And boy do I feel let down. First off the book started like the author was going one way, then abruptly went another. Vanessa never gave a convincing reason why she left, then all of a sudden this Camille Characters comes in ,giving us this convoluted love triangle. And the biggest insult was how she threw in Vanessa having cancer. It just felt fake and forced. I know some may feel not all stories have to have a happy ending, but having invested in 7 of these books, and waiting to read about this couple in particular. I just feel cheated. I also don't like how she is trying to set up Camille and Ryan getting together when Vanessa is gone. I can only speak for myself, but I could careless about Camille, since we were never shown their relationship, or this supposed love they had, it all seems so contrived. Lastly you through in two couples having problems without going into the history of their relationships . Why should we care about them. They did nothing for the book. I truly hope this is the last book in this series, because what started out with a bang went out with a whimper.
Ok... I know that Vanessa came back in book six but... Where the hell!?!? Okay, see, I got over Vanessa when I didn't see her anymore but she's back. Anyways, this story pretty much snatched my heart in three different directions; four even. I must admit I chose to ride with Ryan on this one. He had some hard life choices to make. I didn't envy him his situation. I could only support the man. I don't think I could've handled it personally. Really good story. Love is a hard thing to live and this story really challenged what love looked like to me. I guess I gotta open my mind a little wider to true love. Good job, Colby Taylor. You never disappoint, and you never cease to amaze me.
I really enjoyed this series black love on the rise we rarely see that anymore nice to read about it the Hudson family did something to me I fell in love with the characters keep up the good work.
