This companion to Gut Overview of the book Important People Key Takeaways Analysis of Key Takeaways and much more!
Quite technical/scientific in places, but illuminated the relationship between body and mind. It turns out that we each have more bacteria in our own body (good and bad) than there are stars in the sky.
Nice review of what Gut is sbout. Even me, being a GI soecialist, I learnt many things !! By being Written as a poetic tale gives it a literary taste !!
I really enjoyed reading this book. It gives you lots of information on the inner workings of the human digestive system, including info on recent research and the direction some research is going. I learned a lot. It obviously can't solve your medical problems, but it can put things in perspective. I hope she writes a follow-up!
An interesting and informative book for the general reader. There is excellent toilet humour and cartoons. However, I don't feel the author patronises the reader, rather she tries to get us over the embarrassment we feel about our gut in order to get us to realise what a truly amazing organ it is. Ms. Enders is passionate about her subject and wants to share it with others.
