Julia knows exactly how to keep you glued to the pages. This quick read had me flying through the pages, searching for a murderer, clasping my hands in fear as Megan is questioned and gasping with excitement when Landon reappears.

You don't quite know what's going on - but you're not supposed to. This novella packs a great punch and makes you desperate for more. well done, Julia!

He Wants Me 2: by Julia Swift is the second serial short story in the He Wants Me series. A lightning quick read that is well-paced and very rich with actual story considering its short length. If you are NOT a fan of serial's then I recommend waiting until they are all out or a box set is made available.

**Warning** This review will likely contain spoilers for previous books in this series.

So Harley Royce has been murdered and the police are questioning Megan and Landon both as suspects. But what does Landon have to do with this? What was Harley into that caused this to happen and how in the heck can Megan untangle herself from this mess. Now jobless, thanks to Harley's untimely departure, how will Megan earn an income?

After a brief encounter, Megan Clark and Landon Blake are thrown together into a web of lies, deceit and danger. Deciding to try their chance at solving the mystery behind her boss' murder, Megan and Landon must trust each other to be able to survive. Evading danger, investigating leads and ultimately giving in into what draws them together, Megan and Landon embark on the ride of their lives.

Here's a brief rundown of the 'episodes' and my impressions as my reading progressed.

The second installment picks up right where the first one left off. Megan is in her dead boss' office, but so is Logan. To say that Megan is confused would be a huge understatement. Suddenly she's unemployed yet infatuated with a murder suspect and feeling more than a little lost in the clusterf@ck that has become her life.

It is in this installment that Megan's starts to lose some of my affection. Some of her behavior, thoughts and actions were hard for me to comprehend. Fortunately, I was intrigued with the murder so I kept on reading hoping she gained some maturity as the story progressed.

So by the end of the second installment, we have two individuals with a massive case of insta-lust, a murder, and sh!tload of unanswered questions.

As with most serialized novels I've read in the past, He Wants Me keeps you in a constant state of intrigue, anticipation and frustration. But in the end most of it is worth the ride.

Ahh, you caught the 'most' of it part of it, right? Well, my only problem with this serial, was Megan. I understood her fascination with Landon but I would have thought she had enough on her plate to be distracted by him. I agree, he had that air of mystery--the quintessential tall, dark and handsome. But I would have appreciated a bit more time spent on development the connection between Megan and Landon and less time spent reading her rambling thoughts. But still, I'm intrigued enough to stick it out until the end.

“Landon Blake wipes the rain from his face. He looks beautiful even now and my heart does so many things at once-seizes up, beats harder, and closes into a tight fist.”

5 stars. This book is an intense roller coaster ride! Just when you think you kind of know where the story is going it takes a turn.

Book two picks up where book one left off. Megan has just found her dead boss and Landon in the same room. Confused by all of this she’s not sure who to trust. The cops question her and let her go. But as she’s at home she’s realizing things are adding up, her new attorney is asking her questions about Landon and the night they met and whether it’s a coincidence. She has no job, the man she met can’t be trusted and now her name is in the media, she doesn’t know where to turn.

After finding her boss, Harley, dead and being questioned by the police, Megan has had one hell of a night. She tried to revive Harley to no avail. She's helped the police with the crime scene.

And she still feels like the police thinks she's guilty.

Unfortunately or lucky for Megan, the more they learn about Harley's death, the more that she learns the police have arrested Landon Blake and believe he may have committed this crime. Especially since he was seen standing over Harley's body.

Landon swears he didn't do it. He seeks Megan out repeatedly. And he insists she knows the killer!

The plot thickens in this second book of He Wants Me. We see more and more attraction between Megan and Landon. I can't wait until these two can get together.

Now picking right back up from where the first book left this is dealing with aftermath of the cliff-hanger and I hope by now that you know what it is.
I liked the fact that we got to see more of Megan’s character and determination and that the suspense of the events that had unfolded were still shrouded in mystery so to speak.
Landon was adamant that he was not to blame for what had happened that he was a victim in all of this too but could someone be out to get him and if so why?
I found this book completely intriguing – it left me with more questions than I had anticipated but it also made book three a must!

This second part of the He Wants Me series was definitely not disappointing. It was quite intriguing even though it was just too short. I enjoyed getting to know Megan better. Following the events was fascinating and just made me even more hooked into the story. I am just diving into the next part because I am dying to see what will happen next.

Part two takes off right where part one left off, so there was no missing a beat. We do find out just how strong and independent Megan is which is important, “I think I need a lawyer.” Those icy eyes narrow now and he looks furious. “I need to make a phone call,” I say, forcing my voice not to shake." I can't wait to see where part three takes us with each new part the suspense is building.

Book 2 picks up exactly where book 1 left of so your not left asking questions about what happened between the two. This book adds more suspense to the story and we also get to see Megan standing up for herself. But is she making the right decisions when she inadvertently lies to the cops? Is Landon really the one who murdered her boss? Cant wait to see what book 3 brings :-)
