Josh is the second shorty in the Secret Confessions Backstage series. The erotic stories in the series revolve around an Australian band touring in the U.S. and all the sexual encounters that go on backstage at a concert in Chicago. Though technically the stories can be considered erotica they end hinting at a possible follow up romance between the couple making them erotic romance reads IMO.
Josh is the head security guard for The Screaming Tuesdays and had been for a while. He'd grown out of the desire to make the groupies give him sexual favors in order to get backstage. However since he'd recently broken up with his ex and the brunette in front of him was giving him the eye, he was more than willing to take her up on what she seemed to be offering. Soon he was taking Lori backstage to have some fun.
I really liked the main characters in this story. They were both mature and weren't playing any games. Josh's responsibility and commitment to his job was a turn on for Lori and I can get that. He showed proper concern for the band as well as making sure that the groupies understood what they had to do to get backstage.
Lori's self confidence was nice to see. The fact that she wasn't a giggling groupie helped too LOL. I loved that she was self aware and focused on Josh from the start. Then she pulled no punches and went after what she wanted. To me that's kinda admirable.
If you're looking for a quick read with heat and a smidge of romance then this read's for you!

Eden Summers sure knows how to write a sex scene. Holy moly is this one hot! Josh is a security guard for a rock and roll band and Lori is the fan who wants to go backstage. Told strictly from Josh's POV, this is a short but easy read. Too short IMO. I want to learn more about Josh and Lori. There wasn't enough time to get a lot of history of either character. There is a little about Josh (since it's his book) but almost nothing on Lori. Even though it is short (40 pages), the author does a really good job with scenery description. I can picture myself in that closet with the power cords and speakers.
This book can be read as a stand alone and kind of has an HEA. Josh's story is actually the second installment in the Backstage series and each installment is written by a different author. They are all short stories but revolve around the same band. I haven't read any of the others yet so I'm not sure if the characters will float around between books or not.

Two people who want something from each other have a chance meeting and the sparks fly or was that their clothes. My only disappointment in this book as it ended, but then that is my view on all Eden's books. I plan on reading the rest of the series once it is published. I can't wait to see what other Backstage Confessions we learn.

Original Review @ Naomi’s Reading Palace
Josh the Aussie security guard… he was fun! He’s been travelling with the band since they were in Australia and enjoys his work. He spotted what he wanted in the crowd and when she came to him, he took her! Josh and Lori had great sexual chemistry and they both showed a bit of their personalities to know that they could trust each other and that it would be exciting. Josh is quite the gentleman and I liked how curious Lori was as well. It was fast, hot and sexy, and I was left wanting to know more about this couple!

I just adore Eden Summer's writing !! This is Josh and Lori's book. Its not a long read, but dear lord it smolders.......
Josh works security for the rock band "The Screaming Tuesday's" and he catches Lori trying to do a little back stag sneaking to get up close and personal with the band members.........or is it him Lori wants up close and VERY personal with ?!!!
This was well written and flowed. I enjoyed getting into Josh's head (its told solely from his POV). I am sooo pleased that Josh and Lori just didn't fight their pull !!. A must read for fan's of Eden !!

Betrayed by his ex wife, Josh is reluctant to fall victim to another beautiful woman who only has eyes for rockstars. That's until he meets Lori, a beautiful brunette with a feisty attitude. He knows she's there for the band, so why are his feelings telling him he doesn't want that to happen. And why does Lori seem like she couldn't care less about the band...

In this second installment of the Secret Confessions: Backstage series, we meet Josh, head of security for The Screaming Tuesdays.
A little jaded with the "perks" of working with one of the world's biggest bands, the last thing he expects during his time in Chicago is to meet someone who not only piques his interest, but seems to be into him as well.
This little backstage hook up is HOT HOT HOT. I mean scream at the top of your lungs good!
The sparks fly right from the get go, and it is not long until all inhibitions - and clothes are shed!
Two people, giving and taking what they want in a chance encounter, one night (or is it??) that will rock their worlds.
This is a sexy short story that just ended much to quickly for my liking (but I am like that with all Ms Summers' books!)

4 Burning Hot Backstage Passes
This is the second installment of a new series. Each installment is set to come out every week, and each part is written by a different author. Unlike most rock band books, these books tell the story of the people connected with the concert. Josh is the security manager for The Screaming Tuesdays, Australia’s biggest rock band.
Groupies will do anything to get a backstage pass to be with a “Rock Star.” Josh has seen it all and done it all, but after awhile of being used as a way to get backstage he loses interest until Lori wants backstage. Lori and her friend are trying to get backstage, except Lori’s reasons are far different than that of her friend’s.
What happen backstage is hot, sexy and breaks all the rules. This is a very short story that can be read on your train/bus ride to work. Although I recommend that you read it on the way home. You don’t want to be at work all day with wet panties. This book is sexually explicit and recommended for readers over 18.

JOSH by Eden Summers is part of SECRET CONFESSIONS: BACKSTAGE, a collection of short stories by some fabulous Australian authors. These stories all revolve around the group Screaming Tuesdays, and, rather than focus on the band itself, deal with what goes on around and behind the scenes.
Josh is the security manager for the band. Responsible for making sure that things stay safe and somewhat sane, he's also part of the group that decides who gets backstage to see the band. Being the head honcho definitely has some perks, but having a conscience makes for an interesting situation. Lori, a sexy brunette who knows just what she wants, makes all the difference, and what began as just another night turns into one of the best that Josh has had in a very long time.
While these hot little stories are short, they're easy to read and very satisfying, although I would love to see more about Josh and Lori down the road. Eden Summers has done her usual great job of writing about the rockstar way, and I thoroughly enjoyed this one. 4 stars and recommendation to add this one to your TBR.

Josh by Eden Summers is a novella out of the Secret Confessions: Backstage series. It was short, but in no way did it lack for plot, character personalities, or meaningless script, like other short stories may.
This is a quick, hot, passionate tale that will leave the reader wanting to read more of this sizzling series. Ms. Summers is one of my favorite authors. She never disappoints her readers. Don't let the length stop you from picking up this story. It is a completely delicious tale.

this treat is just that - a treat!!!! I noticed that novels are getting loooonger, and while is all fun, if its not good, it kills you longer to finish it, and if its a series (mostly is) you have to kill a year (mostly) till the next one comes out.
This series is just perfect cause you have the connection, and you have all these stories and you get it all at once - WONDERFUL !! and in the case of Eden's writing - you get what she does best >> hot steamy sexy << this quick, fast and in your face. there is still drama and great characters and you receive it all in this small package that packs a mean punch !!!
I loved Josh and Lori's story, Eden made it so freakin' real I needed a time-out every couple of minutes to cool down or face burn out reading it ... and I read it !!! the firefighters were almost called !!!!
the story has all I come to expect when reading Eden's work and I loved it. provided me with the break from the looong series (I love them, but still, a girl needs a break) !!!

This is the second book in the Secret Confessions: Backstage series...... I'm a huge fan of Eden Summers books and this book has not disappointed...... it's a quick read (about 1 hour) and follows the story of Josh is the Security Manager on this tour. The last stop of their wildly successful US tour sees Australia’s biggest rock band, The Screaming Tuesdays, in sultry, summertime Chicago to play two sold-out shows..... The stage isn't where all the action is..... We follow the story of Josh and what Security actually get up to at the concert..... it's a great quick read and one I'm sure you will enjoy......

This is the second in a series of short stories featuring people attending and working at a sell out concert in Chicago.
This story features Josh who works security for the band, and is tired of the groupies who offer there services just so he will let them pass backstage. That is until Lori a stunning brunette catches his attention, and is willing to do whatever it takes to get a backstage pass, even though she is more interested in the Adonis Josh than the band itself.
I did really enjoy this story, more so than the first one. Although there was nothing wrong with the first story, I just personally enjoyed this one more. However I would certainly recommend the series, especially as its a good way to find new authors to read in the future.

Eden Summers knows how to write a female character who goes for what she wants, and when that want is a sexy but honourable security manager he's got no chance.
And boy I can't blame her for wanting Josh, he is scrummy!
Once Josh has a taste of Lori he's hooked, and wow their encounter was smoking!
So far its 2 for 2 in this compilation and I'm onto the next story, here's hoping for more sexy backstage encounters.

He was in a relationship and normally lets ladies by to meet the band with a smile. Now fresh out of that relationship he is working and the attraction between one of the groupies is off the charts. Lori is smoking hot and making him think wicked thoughts. She wanted backstage so he takes her up on the offer of some fun. One smoking hot encounter later she’s ready to go meet the band.
With the steam between these two I hope we hear more of Josh’s story at a later time!!
I highly recommend this book.

Well, this is as hot and steamy as you expect from Eden Summers! Josh is an intriguing character, as conflicted as he is certain of himself which is an interesting paradox but one that perfectly suited the story. Lori, the female lead is a woman who knows what she wants and knows precisely how to get it. The chemistry that that confidence brings allowed the story to be streamlined hence opening up the short story format considerably. A wickedly fun read from Summers and a great follow up to Chase by KM Golland (book one). If you like Josh, which I think you will, be sure to check out Summers’ Reckless Beat series which also focuses on rockstar romance.

You see this from his perspective and how he feels when it happens to him. He has just came out a relationship and not sure if he should doing anything like this. But when this women does something to him and he can't help himself.
This was a great book that makes you think of what goes on a rock concert.

Josh is one of the head security guards for the band, and he has seen a LOT in the time that he has been traveling with them. So he should be immune to the constant stream of females offering up anything and everything in order to convince him to let them backstage to meet the guys, right?
The answer would be mostly yes, until a curvy brunette with a mischievous smile catches his eye in Chicago and sets her sights on him for the evening. The end result is certainly hot and oh so worth the one -click!

Hot, sexy short story by Eden Summers. Set within the rock and roll world but this time with a focus on the security side of things. Josh is a hot security manager with a conscience and sweet personality.Combined with a strong willed female character in Lori, makes for some streamy scenes.

I love Eden Summers and her writing. This book doesn't disappoint either. If you are looking for a hot and steamy and I do mean HOT book then look no further. Two people who want something from each other have a chance meeting and the sparks fly or was that their clothes. My only disappointment in this book as it ended, but then that is my view on all Eden's books. I plan on reading the rest of the series once it is published. I can't wait to see what other Backstage Confessions we learn.

This was a great look into what women will do to get backstage at a concert. Josh just getting out of a marriage is very particular right at the moment. But when he sees a brunette beauty what kind of sparks can they make? Is she a groupie or is she someone different. Will the attraction be something thing more? Awesome quick read!

Quick, hot and made for a brief passionate set. This short work showcases Ms. Summers fiery writing style. The details are vivid the plot hot. I wish that the story would have been longer if only because it could have gone so much farther. That being said it was a complete read and was well worth the time to read. Be warned it’s erotic and wonderful.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. It's was a awesome short quick read story. Josh had got out a messy relationship and don't have time to lose focus on the job. Until Lori and her friend want to get backstage. Will Lori be different or the same read this book to found out.

This was a fun little novella, although I like the knowledge of something more happening...this just left you guessing that it may or may not happen. With that said, it was really sexy and I liked it a lot.

September 24, 2015As with the first book, while I liked the premise, I found it difficult to engage with these characters and the tone of the book didn't work for me. I won't be continuing with this series.
