First of all, thank you for the opportunity to read this book ahead of publication.
Now, Dust of the Divine: What a breath of fresh air in a sea of fantasy books. Now don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a good romantasy as much as the next avid reader in the era of booktok. But the stories do tend to bleed together.
Not Dust of the Divine, though. Romance takes a back seat to world building, and what a fascinating world it is. Magic, Monsters and what it means to be family is as much a focal point of this story as the FMCs drive to discover her own world.
Will she unearth the answers she sacrifices so much for to find or will the cost of knowledge be too steep in the end…?
The second book might tell us, so keep on the lookout!

Now, while the story is well-written, there are some things I would love to see more of in the sequel:
The emotional depth of the characters could be explored more. While there are many moments of great emotional intensity, the story does not linger long. They happen, and we move on. If we could feel the emotions in detail alongside the characters and most importantly, find out how they deal with these situations, how it changes who they are, it would make them come alive and the emotional investment into our little group would grow as well.
Also, if you do not keep the glossary handy, you will learn to keep up VERY fast. While I do not mind discovering on the go, I would love some more descriptors to aid immersion into the story.
That way, we as readers can live inside the captivating world of Dust of the Divine even better!

Loved the book, definitely would recommend to those who enjoy reading about smart women who are not afraid to be true to themselves. I look forward to seeing where the story takes us next.

Sent as an Advanced Reader Copy from the author.

A magical world where the land is dying because currents are being broken and unbalanced with energy. Magic is dying and Bria and Thavryn are researching why this is happening.

My favourite character was definitely Turnip, the white wolf. Laurien was a good character and well written with his little quirks and development.

The story is well written and enjoyable in parts, but I really struggled with pronouncing place names, creatures and peoples names. So it took me longer to read this book than it probably should have.

I read this as an arc reader.
I thought it was incredibly well written and really loved it!
The characters and storyline are so captivating and descriptive making it was very easy to picture the characters and their surroundings as I read, truly feeling like I was in their world.
It’s one of those books I just couldn’t put down and finished reading in record time. The storyline drew me in and I was hooked from start to finish,I simply didn’t want it to end. Highly recommend!
