Unfinished Passion

by Terry Lawrence

Her First Lover, Her Only Love... — Marcie Courville wondered desperately how she could be excused from serving on the jury -- she knew she'd never survive sharing such intimate quarters with Ray Crane! Ten years earlier the ruggedly sexy construction worker had awakened her desire, then had his heart broken by a pretty, privileged young woman afraid to admit she loved him. Ray felt the sparks that crackled between them, and knew he could still make the ice princess burn -- but could he melt the walls she'd raised to keep passion out? Once he'd doubted he had anything to offer Marcie, but if the wealth and power he commanded now weren't enough to claim this elegantly beautiful lady, what would be? Marcie was finished with playing it safe, but winning back the man whose pride she'd once stolen meant daring to let the hunger he aroused consume her. If she could make Ray believe she cherished who he was, not what he'd accomplished, would the verdict be guilty of love in the first degree?
