Christian Stories of Wisdom is the perfect antidote to our busy, modern lives. It serves as a daily companion that one can return to again and again for a moment of spiritual sustenance. The 70 stories in this uplifting collection can be read in solitude or shared with others. Among them are "Saint Francis and the Wolf," "Saint Peter's Mother," "The Mantle of Christ," "The Angel and the Hermit," and many others.

While the book is attractively put together, the stories are rarely those of wisdom. The best ones are from the Gospels themselves, which I didn't need to reread in this book. Most of the stories are of no help, some are actually cruel, and some are bad jokes. I actually thought I would find something in here to share with my office staff, but nothing! Nothing worth sharing and I don't recommend it. I was disappointed.
«Le forgeron lui montra les trois pains que sa femme avait préparés, et les lui proposa d’en choisir un. Le premier était fourré de terre, le second d’un os et le petit, lui, était rempli de l’argent trouvé dans le billot.
L’avare choisit aussitôt le plain le plus gros et le plus lourd. »
