What do you get when you mix ninjas, dragons, and crumbling dueling stadiums? One heck of a comedy, that's what! Kevin Serwacki's Joey and Johnny: the Ninjas Book Two: Epic Fail has two ninjas-in-training named Joey and Johnny, both who are helping their friend Peoni prepare for a deadly tea ceremony. The action of the book keeps the reader rolling through the story as the ninja trio search for some magic wood, special tea leaves, water for the tea, and a teapot. The comedy the author uses is quite intriguing, and will keep those readers laughing until the last page, like how they survive Table 7 and order takeout for two. Finally, SUSPENSE. The author fills the book with comedy and suspense. It's inevitable to see suspense in this book, like at the beginning of the book, where the reader is chewing on their nails, hoping that the stadium Joey and Johnny, the amateur ninja students built by themselves, won't fall down. If slapstick comedy on paper, near-death situations, and horrifying, vulture-like birds is the reader's thing, then the second book in the Joey and Johnny: the Ninjas series is going to be right up their alley!
