Many years ago a simple kiss changed Heather's life forever.
To this very day, Heather still can't stop thinking about the kiss between her and Mick (one of her friends). However, Heather believes that Mick has absolutely no feelings for her like she does for him. So hence Heather decides that she's not going to let a little childhood crush on Mick stop her from living her life.
With the help of her best friends and co-workers, Heather signs up for a contest on a whim and just happens to win. It's a trip to a tropical island where you can do whatever you want. Hence the perfect way to completely forget about Mick and the kiss.
In the meanwhile there's a guy that Heather has been sexting to keep her mind off of Mick. It started completely randomly when this guy accidentally texts her and they've been going on ever since. Besides Heather believes there's nothing wrong with having a little fun ;)
Overall I thought this book was straight-forward, an easy read, and a really cute story. A few things that I would have liked is if there were more background on Mick and Heather's friendship and more interactions between Mick and Heather. Other than that I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to reading more books by Bobbi Romans.

If you're looking for a fun, easy read that allows you to not only explore a character's sexual desires, but yours as well, this is a book for you. The writing flows and the descriptions are just enough so that you see what's going on and can be in the room with the characters, or be the characters if you like! The "supporting cast" is funny and likable and I personally felt some nostalgia while reading scenes with them. The intimate scenes, the sex scenes, are honest and raw, but not overly indulgent so that the acts themselves are forced down your throat. You get to enjoy the realism and honesty of the more private moments, even if one of those moments involves sexting. There are quite a few grammatical errors, but don't let that persuade you to miss out on Romans' fantasy-becomes-reality story and the lovable main character, Heather.

Bobbi Romans became one of my favorite authors the very first time I had a chance to read her work. I enjoy her writing style and creative story lines with unique characters. Inhibition-X is a fine example of Ms. Romans' work.
Heather wins a trip to Inhibition-X island to celebrate the grand opening. Inhibition-X is a new island resort that is designed for visitors to live out their fantasies and fulfill their greatest pleasures. Heather is a little hesitant as to whether she wants to go on the trip or not. Her friends convince her that they should go and enjoy themselves. One of the fun things about the island is that everyone uses a fictitious name so they keep their anonymity.
Once Heather, Beth, Daniel, and Ridge arrive on the island things HEAT up quickly. There is plenty of steam and pleasure to go around. Inhibition-X also contains great humor, a little drama, and just a touch of mystery.
There is a little drama and some tension in the group with a few secret crushes going on. Heather wishes her long time friend and secret crush, Mick was on the island with them. He was unable to make the trip with the group of friends. All the characters are fun and charming. The interaction with within the group is humorous and dramatic at times. I really enjoyed meeting Heather and her friends and reading about their adventure.

I hope there is a chance we may hear more about this fantasy island. I have a feeling there are plenty of stories in those themed bungalows and out of the way swimming areas. I sure would not mind hear more about Marquis, the charming host of the island resort. He sounds like one gorgeous man with more stories that are just waiting to be told.

This short sexy, romantic story is perfect if you’re looking to steam up your summer night. Heather and her friends win a trip to a fantasy island where clothing is not encouraged. Living most of her life by the book, Heather isn’t sure if this trip is really for her. But she’s been yearning for some deeper, darker pleasures and what better way to explore that side of herself than on an island where almost no one knows her name. It’s a place that everyone wants to go sometime in their lives, where you can let go, be who you want to be, and follow your heart’s desires. Romans’ erotic scenes don’t disappoint, whether they happen while sexting, under a waterfall, or in a specially themed hut, and the romance lights up the story. I loved the cover too!

Bobbi RomansIt was a satisfying, and very sexy read. 4/5 ☆ was my rating. Very well recommended to those readers who want a fast-reading yet a sexy one.
