Kit Tunstall

Kit lives in Idaho with her husband and two sons. She enjoys writing several genres and subgenres. When she started publishing, dinosaurs roamed the earth, and authors had one pen name with their publisher. That was the name you wrote everything under, no matter how dissimilar. Thanks to advances in publishing, it's now easy to have more than one pen name, and many readers have come to expect a certain type of book experience from each author. The "brand," if you will.
Kit's catalog makes it difficult to tell what brand you're getting, so she has "co-authored" each type with a pen name, so you'll know what kind of book to expect.
* Paranormal Romances (including shifters): Kit Fawkes and Kit Tunstall
* Contemporary romance with some steam, but not erotic: Lilly LaRue and Kit Tunstall
* Contemporary romances that are erotic: Kit Kyndall and Kit Tunstall
* Edgier works (including fertile erotic romances, bad boys, and stepbrothers): Kristianna Sawyer and Kit Tunstall
* Science fiction romance: Aurelia Skye and Kit Tunstall.
* Horror and post-apocalyptic: T.K. Reilley and Kit Tunstall.
* Darker erotic romance: R.E. Saxton

Ok, so first of all I’m confused; who is the real author? The edition listed first in Goodreads shows Kit Tunstall but the edition I read is Avery Ford. I realize authors use different pen names but are the two the same person? The story description blurbs are the same.
I found the the story to be a bit flat. Ryan kisses Will while they are in high school and Will runs away. Twelve years later they meet at a seminar, Ryan is recently divorced after a six year marriage (to a woman) and turns out he knew Will was going to be there and planned on connecting with him.
Without really knowing one another after twelve years, Will pops Ryan’s gay cherry, to put it bluntly. I didn’t really feel a connection between these two. The dialogue, including the silly endearments, didn’t do anything to draw me in to the story. Then Will has a fit of jealousy when he sees Ryan with a woman. Turns out Will jumped to false conclusions, they make up and....the story just ends. This could have been a wonderful story with slow build, lots of angst, and a big makeup at the end, but, no, it just stayed kind of lame.

High school nerd Will gets kissed by jock Ryan he was tutoring. Nerd runs away. Flash to ten years later and they meet at a conference and start where they left off. Ryan wants his first time to be with the first guy he ever kissed. Will is confused because Ryan was married for six years. Long ago lust leads to what could be a Long term thing.

I loved the start of Ryan and Will's relationship, a great connection, but the story was over before there was any promise of a future between the two. It was a great start, but the story needs to be expanded.
