this fun book contains 17 crafts for fabric and paper with a focus on Christmas. Several of the crafts could be adapted for other times of the year, such as the Christmas crown being used as a Birthday crown, or a Holiday bunting with "Joy" on it, being re-done for Easter, or a wedding, or whatever you like.
What I liked most was the step-by-step photograph instructions, as well as the simple guide to tell how easy or challenging a project may be. Since the book is geared to young kids, it uses terminology like, Easy Peasy, or A Bit More Challenging, or Take Your Time and Ask for Help. There are also detailed instructions on how to use many of the materials in the book, with the referral to check on the internet for more information as needed. I thought most of the projects are really sweet and can imagine making at least several of them.
The only real criticism I have of the book is that it doesn't show a lot of diversity in the girls photographed. It would have been nice to see some children of other races enjoying using the sewing machine or learning the crafts for the first time. This may or may not be a concern for you, but I mention it in case you are looking for a book which does have inclusion.
Overal, I recommend this book to beginning or young-at-heart crafters.

Projects are for a young teen. I'm looking for something for my granddaughter.
