Quite an enjoyable little thriller set in Dubai mostly, the UK and Thailand. The writing is patchy and there are too many typos but the plot is entertaining and has a few nice little twists that keep you reading till the end.

This book begins in a prison with a very grim few chapters. It is most definitely not for the feint hearted.

We then begin to read not only the ongoing story in the present, but we also start to find out what has happened in the past as the story jumps from now to then, and back again.

I enjoyed the way the two stories started to come together as I read more of the book. I was intrigued to see what exactly had happened which led to the situation the main character finds himself in. But I knew it wasn't all as straightforward as first believed.

The ending was written brilliantly. Not at all what I assumed was going to happen. It actually leaves it open, I believe, for something more in the future.

This is a great debut novel from someone I believe has a long future if he continues to produce work such as this.

An excellent pacey thriller. Lots of twists and turns and I didn't see the ending coming.
