This is a must-read if you’re new to pool maintenance. The book is organized very well, is easy to read, and the author isn’t kidding when he says follow-up with him if something isn’t clear. I have no doubt this book will save us hundreds if not thousands of dollars in maintenance calls to our local pool service company.

Excellent Resource!

This is an excellent resource for whomever owns a pool! It is well written and in laymen’s terms for those of us who know little to nothing about servicing pools. It has definitely opened our eyes to how easy pool maintenance can actually be and has provided us the confidence and knowledge necessary to keep our pool chemicals in balance for safe use by our family. We’d definitely recommend this book to anyone who has questions about how to maintain their pool properly and doesn’t want to play the roller coaster game with pool stores.

Written in a conversational style, this book makes the subject approachable, but I did find it quite repetitive.

Mostly deals with in ground pools, but there's plenty of info for above ground pools as well.
