These sampler books deserve a five-star rating! If you enjoy reading Amish stories and have a heart for God and want to know the truth of the free gift of salvation, then these are a must read for you.

The struggles of everyday life are intertwined throughout these books and the answers are written. You need only have a desire to know the truth.....that God loves you in spite of our mistakes!

Loved these stories!

This book kept me not able to put it down. It explained quite a bit I haven't known about Amish/ Mennonite life. I don't usually read romance stories but this did have a lot in a very sweet good way.
I do appreciate the understanding of God's grace, not of works but Christ Jesus giving His life for our salvation ; because of that we are to do good works that He directs us to.

A wonderful quartet

I wasn't too sure about reading Amish-based stories, because I take my faith very seriously and I knew there were important areas where the Amish and I disagree. But with this author my fears were groundless. Each story, whether light or heavy, draws you in and holds your interest, while at the same time tapping into a Christ-centered foundation that holds life together thru the difficult times.

I enjoyed the four book set of Amish life. The author brings in the language customs, and home life of the Amish sects, likenesses and differences. It was good to read the salvatuin message from Scripture and rejoice when people were saved. I received a complimentary set and have chosen on my own to write an honest review.

This was a very different amish books than the ones I normally read. It dealt with topics that you don't normally get in these type of books and it was interesting.
There is one full length novel, a couple of novellas and some sneek peaks at a few other books.

It was a good read and I think I would read more by this author.

Good read!

I was disappointed at first because I didn't realize it was 4 different stories- I thought it was one continuous series... I can't read I suppose because it does say at the beginning what stories are included.... But I loved each story and think other readers would too. They are sad, touching, sweet stories that I believe any reader of Amish fiction would enjoy.

What a Variety of Life Issues

Starting with look a likes, and ending with choices of true love.

It was definitely a book that was hard to put down.

Various districts had slightly different religious views. Following God was the way.

Uplifting stories of the Amish.

I found that Amish stories give me an emotional high, the simplicity of their lives and understanding of life is very interesting. The characters in these stories were interesting and believable.

Lived all these books.

I love reading Amish stories. They are faith based and always good to read. We used to live near an Amish community and I used to wonder what their lifestyle was like, these books help. Thank You for writing them.

Amish Fiction Mish Mash

These short stories have no theme and are as random as one can get. They lack in depth character development. I found the longer work interesting, but I wasn't impressed with the short short stories.

I loved this book !

I loved learning more about our Amish neighbors! There are 3 stories, 3 intriguing plots, with likeable, believable characters! No bad language, or objectionable sex scenes! So it would approved for young readers.

Feel Good Read

There is something heartwarming in each of these stories. Without a touch of religion, they wouldn't have the Amish feel to them. With each Plain story, J.E.B. had my attention. Can't wait to read another

Amish stories

Most of these stories were very well written and easy to follow. A great variety of writing. Perfect for those who love Amish romantic fiction. I think my attention to the stories waned because it took a while to read them all.

Almost predictable

I chose this rating because the Amish stories seem to run on the same theme. They are interesting to a point and then I lose interest.

I didn’t realize what this book was until I started reading. It’s the first book in 4 series. I had already read the 3rd book. Quick reads that are clean and worth the time to read.

Good Spiritual Encouragement

I would reccommend this to my sister and Good Reads friend, Kay Fief. And I'm only typing more because 7 more words were required (silly).

Enjoyable

The stories are different from ordinary Amish books; the author uses real-life, contemporary problems that all groups face, and the characters met the challenge with grace from God.

I loved each of the books that are part of this collection and put together they make some really good reading for anyone who enjoys excellent Amish fiction. The collection also includes a novella, Cindy's Story, which is a delightful retelling of Cinderella with an Amish twist. I was given a copy of the books and the novella in return for an honest review, and I definitely recommend the series.

This book was so good

This book has four complete books and some stories. Amish by accident, Joanna's Struggles, Unforgivable secret, Cindy's story and a short story named Only love. My favorite was Unforgivable Secret, which touched my heart about God's forgiveness, His restoration, healing, and blessings

J.E.B. Spredemann knows how to write charming Amish stories. The Amish Sampler is filled with characters, plots that are full of surprises. Some of the stories are more lighthearted than others but all are well worth the time to read.
