I tried to read a few Death Merchant books by the same author, but just could not finish them. I did complete this one though. Instead of ninja master, it should of been called the crotch crusher master. 75% of the fighting has a smashed genital or two. Also every enemy, no matter how inconsequential, has a full name. This gets a bit hard to deal with when your trying to follow the action. The names start to blend together.

The details of the submarine, boats and scuba gear are nice, but once again becomes a bit to much. Sort of like reading a detailed manual. It put me of and I had to slog through it to get to the action again.

I do have books 3 and 4 to read. I may take a break and come back for more later.
