Finally finished this one. I found it at a library sale, but I already was connected with Scripture Memory Fellowship. I didn't need to be sold on the value of Scripture memorization, but I still gleaned lots of helpful tidbits.
This is a great book on memorization and one that is a “must read” for those who desire to develop and delight in this spiritual discipline. it’s my second time going through this book and I have enjoyed reviewing what I marked in the past and finding a few new nuggets the second time through.
Some may be familiar with the author from the following children’s book that was barely popular in days gone by : The Nickle that Laughed https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
Great book of inspiration and guidance on memorizing Scripture. Very foundational--and yet inspiring to people who have already been regularly memorizing.
In my opinion, it would have been best to omit the final chapter on translations. It completely changes the tone, seems more biased, and loses the inspirational momentum. The rest of it is solid.
