While Emma recovers at Jules, Braden keeps a weary eye on the police investigation into Emma's near murder at the hands of her husband. When Gabe makes bail, without anyone knowing, he sets into motion a plan to make Emma pay. When Emma and Jules' don't hear from their father for a few days, Braden is afraid of the worst. When Braden's worst fears become a reality, he grabs Emma, Jules, and Victor and the four go on the run. Braden calls a "friend" who specializes in "wet work." As the weeks pass, and no word from his friend, Braden can't help but grow uneasy. When the monster from Emma's past appears out of nowhere, lies are told, secrets stay hidden, and lives are changed forever.
Book 3 is a plot packed short read. The reader is drawn into the story and more engrossed than previous stories. The reader finds Emma recovering and hopefully on the path to a better life. Just one thing stands in between hell and happily ever after....Gabe. When the police fail to notify Emma of Gabe's release, she has no idea of the fury and plan he has unleashed. You silently keep rooting for Gabe to get caught, but not so fast. Gabe has unfinished business with Emma and he is going to make sure she pays but not before watching those she loves, including Braden, die at his hands. Book 3 ends on a serious cliffhanger so make sure you have Book 4 waiting.

These cliff hangers are killing me.
Can Branden truly save Emma? Can they find their happilty-ever-after or will her husband ruin it?
Emma has finally push her husband to the brink. She realizes that this could really be the end for her. She will die knowing that Branden loved her. But can he save her?
Brandon needs to decide if he should step in and call on his 'old friends' to help Emma. He asks for a sign, what he gets is an urgent text from Emma.
Brandon saving Emma will put them both in the spot light. Her family will discover what has been going on between them and so will the church. Can he give the church and go with Emma? He truly believes that God led him to Emma and wants him to help her.
What will her husband do once he finds out she deceived him?
I can't wait to see what happens in the fourth part. It can't come quick enough!

This part was a little hard for me. While I still gave it a 4 star rating because the story overall deserves it I feel the part of the story that is part 3 is what I consider "the lull". Things happen that have to be there for the story to proceed and for you to be fully informed, but there isn't much that is holy cow I can not believe that. The ending absolutely leaves me wanting part 4 immediately and I am really looking forward to the conclusion. Eve Cates really knows how to make you wanting more!

Gabe knows about Emma being on birthcontrol, and his reaction put everything into motion. Every secret is out in the open, and it´s time for Emma and Braden to deal with the consequences. Consequences of the DANGEROUS kind.
Gosh, just give me the last episode already. WHAT A CLIFFHANGER!
Love how Braden and Emma´s relationship is growing. Had several shocks while reading – a lot of the tearful kind of shocks :(
And I hate the system! SO UNFAIR.
I´m so impatient to find out how it all ends!
