Patchwork Christmas is a wonderful Christmas themed book by two talented authors. It starts out with a retired teacher updating her will to help her former students who she feels need love in their life...in essence she is trying to match-make. One student, Natalie, and the other, Gavin. The story winds through the life of each of these students to come to the point where they hear from the lawyer that they have both been named in her will. The winding through of their lives show how faith, endurance, love and God have made a difference in both of their lives. I definitely recommend this book! I was given this book in exchange for my honest review.
While I love both of these stories, my favourite has to be 'Remnants of Faith'. My heart goes out to Natalie every time I read it (which is regularly!), and having been saved by my giant yellow dog more than once I feel like the author must have known what they were about when she inserted that twist to the story! Having said I liked it so much that's not to say I don't like 'Silver Lining' - being an army brat when I was young stories like this always tug at my heartstrings. Christa and Susan are lovely characters and Ben provides such a lighthearted aspect to every conversation he features in.
