𝑹𝑬𝑽𝑰𝑬𝑾:- "Science Adventures with Jag, Dils and Dad" by "Jitendra Singh Sandhu" is a delightful and inspiring book that makes science feel less like a subject to study and more like an exciting adventure to experience. Written especially for curious young minds, the book beautifully demonstrates that science is present everywhere around us—even in the simplest moments of everyday life.

What makes this book truly special is its engaging approach to discovery. Through 44 intriguing science mysteries, Jag, Dils and Dad transform ordinary family experiences into opportunities for exploration and learning. From rainbows and windmills to floating paper boats, buzzing honeybees, magnets and electricity, each mystery encourages children to ask questions, observe carefully and discover the fascinating science behind what they see.

I particularly appreciate the book’s emphasis on curiosity and hands-on learning. Rather than simply presenting scientific facts, it encourages children to think, wonder and explore. The Science Behind the Mystery sections are especially valuable because they turn curiosity into meaningful understanding while keeping the explanations accessible and enjoyable.

The book is not only educational but also wonderfully positive. It reminds readers that every question can be the beginning of a discovery and that learning can happen anywhere—with family, through observation and through simple experiments.

Overall, Science Adventures with Jag, Dils and Dad is a refreshing, imaginative and educational read. It is an excellent choice for children, families and classrooms, and a wonderful reminder that curiosity is the first step toward scientific discovery. A truly engaging book that can inspire young readers to look at their everyday world with greater wonder!

"Science Adventures with Jag, Dils and Dad" by author Jitendra Singh Sandhu is an interesting and educational book that shows how science is present in our everyday lives. The book follows Jag and Dils, a curious brother and sister, and their Dad who encourages them to ask questions, observe things carefully and find answers like real scientists. The book makes learning science feel like an adventure rather than a difficult school subject.

The book is divided into five parts and covers topics such as the wonders of light and water, forces, motion and magnetism, nature’s amazing secrets, renewable energy, and electricity. These topics are connected with things that children see and experience in daily life.

One of the best features of the book is that it explains many interesting science terms in a simple manner. Readers can learn about the scattering of light, evaporation, condensation, precipitation, rainbows, shadows, mirages, gravity, rainwater harvesting and many other ideas. Instead of simply giving definitions, the book connects these concepts with familiar situations, making science more meaningful and enjoyable.

Jag and Dils observe what happens around them and try to understand why it happens. This encourages children to think, ask questions, and find evidence before reaching a conclusion. The role of Dad is also important because he guides them without simply giving them all the answers.

Another useful feature is the section called “Science Behind the Mystery” at the end of the chapters. These sections explain the actual reason and scientific principle behind the everyday events discussed in the story.

It's an engaging and informative book. It is especially suitable for young readers who are curious about the world around them.

Discovering the Science Hidden in Everyday Life is a wonderful introduction to science that makes learning feel natural, fun, and exciting. What I particularly enjoyed is how the book takes simple questions that children encounter every day and turns them into opportunities to explore and understand the world around them.

Jag and Dils make the learning experience engaging, while their conversations and adventures with their dad give the book a warm family feel. Instead of presenting science as a collection of complicated facts, the book encourages children to observe, ask questions, and discover answers for themselves. I also loved the idea of ending each chapter with a “Science Behind the Mystery” section, as it reinforces what children have learned in a simple and accessible way.

The topics are varied and fascinating, covering everything from rainbows, shadows, and mirrors to magnets, forces, nature, and electricity. The explanations are designed to be easy to understand without taking away the wonder behind each concept.

It encourages children to look at ordinary things differently and reminds them that science isn't confined to a classroom—it is happening all around us. A lovely choice for children aged 8–12 and for families who want to make learning science a fun experience together.

Book: Science Adventure with Jag, Dil, and Dad
Author: Jatinder Singh Sandhu
Jatinder Singh Sandhu is a science writer dedicated to making science accessible and engaging. His previous book focused on chemistry, introducing readers to all the elements of the periodic table in simple, easy-to-understand language.
His book, Science Adventure, revolves around a family—a father and his children, Jag and Dil—who explore and explain everyday scientific phenomena in an intuitive and relatable way. The book covers practical examples such as:
How rainbows are formed
Why distant roads appear to have water on them (mirages)
How ice forms
Numerous other everyday scientific processes and reactions
Parents often struggle to answer children's science questions, especially since science is widely perceived as a difficult and dry subject. Jatinder Singh Sandhu simplifies these concepts effectively, ensuring that any reader or student—regardless of their academic background—can understand them without difficulty.
This book serves as a valuable resource for students in grades 8, 10, and 12, as well as aspirants preparing for competitive government examinations.

Science Adventures with Jag, Dils and Dad
