In America, the duck says, "Quack", the pig says, "Oink", and the turkey says, "Gobble gobble gobble". But in Finland, the duck says, "Kvaak! Kvaak!", in Venezuela, the pig says, "Jui, Jui", and in Israel, the turkey says, "Holderolderol!"

Full-page illustrations of each animal are featured alongside the onomatopoeic sound they make in some nation around the world. Kids will enjoy comparing the noises we associate with each animal here in America to those sounds from different countries. I use this to help kids understand the concept of onomatopoeia.
