When Superman stops an alien monster from destroying a drilling rig in Venezuela, he tells everyone that he threw the beast in to the sun. Thing is, Superman finds he has a soft spot for this extraterrestrial with the ability to morph between "a hundred-foot-long electric dragon" and "a human boy...with a tail". Superman can't bring himself to kill the creature, called Baka, so instead takes him into the Fortress of Solitude. He realizes that others, namely Bruce Wayne, might think him silly for sympathizing with Baka and anthropomorphizing him so--but then, Superman thinks, "Where would I be if no one had ever anthropomorphized me?"
Superman's connection with Baka and a incident involving Lana Lang at a geothermal drill site lead the friends to make a discovery beyond their wildest expectations--a dangerous discovery that could change the world as we know it...
This New 52 Action Comics #21 is a cool opening onto a three-issue Superman story arc that I look forward to reading the rest of.
Amo las historias de Superman en Action Comics. Muy interesante todo el tema de Ukur, Subterranea y Baka. Además, siempre es genial ver flashbacks de la niñez de Superman.
