The cartoony art was a very bad choice for this subject. One might learn something about the great artist's life, but nothing of his masterpieces comes through in the illustrations.

Nicely told account of Michelangelo’s life and art. Galli’s stylized illustrations use the warm palette of Italian villages and countryside to add to the feel of this large-format book.
